Troken Floor Primer OS epoxy primer for oiled surfaces

Troken Floor Primer OS is a two-component epoxy primer designed for application to dry and oil-contaminated surfaces. It also performs well on surfaces with slightly elevated humidity (<10%). Its low viscosity, solvent-free, and nonylphenol-free properties ensure excellent penetration and adhesion to a variety of surfaces, including metal.

Application

• Priming substrates : Ideal for priming dry and greasy concrete surfaces, both indoors and outdoors. It also works well on slightly damp substrates with a relative humidity of less than 10%. For outdoor use, it is always recommended to apply UV- and weather-resistant layers.
• Bonding Layer : Can be used as a bonding layer on metal, resin surfaces and other difficult substrates.
• Repair mortars : Suitable for preparing resin repair mortars and leveling compounds.​ Its solvent-free structure allows for the construction of thicker layers with quartz sand without the risk of hardening.
• Substrate Strengthening : Strengthens inconsistent substrates by filling cracks, capillaries, and pores. This significantly improves the adhesion of subsequent layers of resin systems.
• Application on fresh concrete : Can be applied to fresh concrete as early as 5-10 days after pouring, depending on temperature and humidity.

Substrate preparation and application

• Substrate preparation : The surface should be free of dust, dirt, grease, and oil. It is recommended to sand or sandblast the surface and then thoroughly vacuum it. If there is excessive oil, it is recommended to remove it by washing the surface with a dedicated liquid, such as Emulsol or Sulfanol A. Any
  larger gaps or irregularities should be filled to ensure better adhesion and a more aesthetically pleasing final result.
• Application : Troken Floor Primer OS in a single coat using a squeegee, roller, or brush. Before application, thoroughly mix components A and B with a mixer at low speed. Then, pour the mixture into a clean container and mix again for 2-3 minutes. This ensures even distribution of the hardener throughout the resin.
• Drying time : After applying the product, wait at least 20 hours, but no longer than 48 hours, before applying the next layer or starting further work.
