Anti-corrosion paint for C3 - what does this class mean?

It is suitable for urban and industrial environments, coastal areas with low salinity, and humid production facilities (breweries, dairies, food processing plants). This is the most common environment for fences, gates, railings, roofs of single-family homes, and lightweight steel structures. For C3, the paint—and above all, the coating thickness—is selected based on the required durability.
What coating thickness is needed for class C3?
keyboard_arrow_down keyboard_arrow_upThickness is selected based on the required durability period from the PN-EN ISO 12944-1 standard: short L (up to 7 years), medium M (7–15 years), long H (15–25 years). For class C3, approximately 100 μm (L), 120–160 μm (M), and 180 μm (H) of dry film thickness are assumed, respectively. Dry thickness is checked with a comb or thickness gauge—not to be confused with wet thickness, which is higher and depends on the solids content of the product.
Can C3 paint be applied directly to rust?

If this is not possible, apply a rust remover (e.g., Neodur Metalforce) to any remaining corrosion spots or choose a special paint designed for application to rust (e.g., Stal-Kor). Skipping this step will shorten the life of the coating, regardless of its thickness.
What paints are available for the C3?
