Everywhere we look, we are surrounded by metal structures of various shapes, sizes and colors. In addition to aesthetic values, painting metal surfaces is primarily intended to protect against the development of rust and keep the structure in good condition for as long as possible.

Quite often in our work we are asked what to use for painting metal roofs or facades - chlorinated rubber or polyvinyl paint? We strongly advise against chlorinated rubber. Why?

These types of structures are constantly exposed to heating and cooling , which causes the substrate to work. The appropriate paint must be flexible so as to be able to carry such loads. Although the "rubber" in the name misleadingly directs us in this direction, chlorinated rubber paints are not flexible and do not work well with such protection. Under the influence of the working substrate, the chlorinated rubber paint may crack and then detach from the substrate. To prevent this, we recommend using polyvinyl paints . They are resistant to weather conditions and UV radiation , and fully flexible, so they work together with the substrate.
