Everywhere we look, we are surrounded by metal structures of various shapes, sizes, and colors. Besides aesthetic appeal, painting metal surfaces primarily serves to protect against rust and maintain the structure in good condition for as long as possible.

Quite often in our work, we're asked what to use for painting roofs or metal facades – chlorinated rubber or polyvinyl paint? We strongly advise against chlorinated rubber. Why?

These types of structures are constantly exposed to heating and cooling , causing the substrate to move. Suitable paint must be flexible to withstand such loads. Although the "rubber" in the name misleadingly points in this direction, chlorinated rubber paints are not flexible and are ineffective for such protection. When exposed to the stresses of the substrate, chlorinated rubber paint can crack and then separate from the substrate. To prevent this, we recommend using polyvinyl paints . They are weather- and UV- , and fully flexible, allowing them to work in harmony with the substrate.
