Nowadays, the problem of unsightly scribbles appearing on walls has become so troublesome that manufacturers of paint coatings have decided to meet it with the offer of anti-graffiti systems. This is a great relief for owners of real estate and small architectural structures - after appropriate protection, e.g. facades, there is no need to repaint the entire surface. Anti-graffiti systems are divided into permanent and semi-permanent. Below we will try to briefly explain the difference between them and what substrates can be protected with them.

Semi-permanent anti-graffiti system

Basic anti-graffiti system based on the wax preparation A-GRAF . The coating also has an anti-poster effect. This is the so-called method "lost coating" - it is partially removed along with the paint used to make the inscriptions and drawings. After cleaning, the coating should be replenished. The protective layer allows easy removal of dirt with pressurized water (preferably warm water in the case of very rough surfaces). An additional advantage is that the surface is isolated from the influence of harmful weather conditions, air pollution, moss, etc. The need to renew the coating may seem burdensome, but we know from experience that it is a matter of two or three times. Graffiti artists quickly become discouraged with the wall because the paint runs off, gets blurry, and the graffiti itself doesn't look the way they wanted it to.

The agent can be used to protect porous surfaces:

  • stone, e.g. sandstone
  • concrete
  • bricks
  • mineral plasters
  • painted plasters (coated with water-based paints; in the case of solvent-based paints, we recommend carrying out tests).

Durable anti-graffiti system

The system is based on a water-soluble, two-component polyurethane varnish. The protection made in this way does not require renewal and retains its properties for 5 years or up to 50 cleanings. When protecting porous surfaces, the first step is to prime the substrate with one layer of A-GRAF Primer . It stabilizes unprepared substrates, isolates them from the surface layer and ensures the durability of the coating. A-GRAF 2K topcoat . When protecting dense surfaces (PVC, road signs, plastic panels, etc.), we do not prime the surface - it is enough to apply the topcoat directly. Clean surfaces protected in this way with water under pressure (max 50°C, 60 bar) or using the A-GRAF . As in the case of the semi-permanent system, we also obtain anti-poster effect and protection against harmful weather conditions, moisture, moss, etc.

What if someone has already graffitied us on an unprotected surface?

If the graffiti artists beat us to it before we had time to secure e.g. the façade, we have two options to choose from:

  • the previously mentioned A-GRAF Remover , available in a 0.5l atomizer and a 2l canister
  • GREEN PAINT STRIPPER gel for removing old paint coatings , available in a 500 ml spray, 0.75l and 2.5l can

Unfortunately, in the case of unprotected surfaces, no one can give us a 100% guarantee that the graffiti will be completely removed, especially if the porous surface is dirty.

We always include technical sheets with the order. You will also find them on our website, under the description of each product. Please read them before you start painting.
