Thermal insulation, or building insulation, is used to reduce heat migration. The amount of heat that escapes through walls depends on the thickness of the insulation layer. Products have emerged on the construction market that, thanks to their innovative technology, allow for heat savings comparable to those achieved with well-insulated walls, without the need to reduce the cubic capacity of the room. One such product is CIQ wall and ceiling paint.

How does thermal insulation coating for walls and ceilings work?

How is it possible for a thin layer of paint to retain heat? This is achieved thanks to the Microsphere System, which forms the basis for CIQ thermointelligent paint. Microspheres are tiny, flexible polymer particles that possess enormous strength. Thanks to the microspheres, which contain a neutral gas, the coating reflects thermal radiation, and the paint takes on the insulating function. The resulting layer is flexible and resistant to external temperatures. When applied to a wall, the CIQ coating acts like a down jacket in winter, trapping heat inside. In summer, however, it creates a barrier against heat penetrating through the sun-heated walls from the outside.

Temperature control and real money savings

By painting a room with CIQ latex paint, we can save significantly – on heating on cold days and on air conditioning on hot days. Tests have confirmed that CIQ is the most effective paint available on the market at insulating building walls. A wall coated with CIQ paint reflects up to 95% of radiant heat. This translates into a real savings of approximately 5% on heating in winter – which can translate into several hundred złoty per year in savings. Active heat sources, such as radiators, increase the room temperature – and thanks to thermo-intelligent paint, the energy used to heat the apartment is not wasted; heat stays inside, not escaping through the walls.

One product – many advantages

An additional advantage of using the Microsphere System in CIQ paint is its high flexibility. This property allows the paint to bridge micro-cracks, allowing the paint film to "work" with the building. It is also fully washable, classified as a second-class washability. Thanks to its slightly satin finish, the painted surface is not rough, attracts less dust and dirt, and is easier to clean. CIQ paint also has a very high natural resistance to mold and mildew, making it suitable for bathroom ceilings and walls (surfaces not exposed to direct contact with water).

Thermal insulation paint in many colors

Choosing the right color scheme and decorative aspect of a room is just as important as choosing the best product based on its properties. CIQ paint is available in white and colors from the RAL color chart. It is tinted upon request and available in 2.5- and 5-liter containers.

CIQ - the best thermal insulation paint?

CIQ paint provides excellent coverage and creates a satin, washable coating on the wall. It's easy to apply and odorless. Its greatest advantage, however, is that it retains heat inside in winter and prevents external heat from entering in summer. This is especially important if the exterior wall of the house or apartment faces west and gets very hot in the summer. This undoubtedly saves money on heating in the colder months and air conditioning in the summer. CIQ paint provides a level of thermal comfort that everyone can afford.
