How to Finish Your Garage Floor? Thin-film resin systems you can apply at home

Epoxies

Neopox SF Plus solvent-free epoxy resin

If you have some spare time for renovations, you can use Neopox SF Plus epoxy resin , which requires 7 days to fully cure. It's a solvent-free resin, meaning there's no irritating odor during application. Neopox SF Plus can be applied to a wide variety of substrates. Simply use the appropriate primer: Super Spoiwo R03333 for tiles, or Epoxol Primer SF for concrete. The system primers are also low-odor, allowing for a convenient and hassle-free application. Application is easy because the product is applied with a roller. The chemical resistance table included in the technical data sheet, which can be found on the product page, confirms the claims that resin coatings are resistant to various chemicals.

Most important properties:

• high chemical resistance,
• high mechanical resistance (application in thick layers),
• low-odor product – does not contain solvents,
• thermal resistance range from -30°C to 100°C,
• coating finish: gloss,
• has a PZH certificate.

Neopox SF Plus is perfect for use in places such as laboratories, industrial halls, garages, warehouses, factories, slaughterhouses, hospitals, schools, and parking lots.

Solvent-based Neopox Special resin

Neopox Special is a good choice for a floor that won't break the bank while meeting all your expectations and requirements. Neopox Special is a two-component, solvent-based epoxy paint with a glossy finish. It takes 7 days to fully cure. It can be applied to a variety of substrates using appropriate primers, similar to Neopox SF Plus resin. Note: For concrete substrates, this resin can be applied directly to concrete without priming! One coat less, one day less! Neopox Special is also resistant to various chemicals, as confirmed by the chemical resistance table included in the technical data sheet .

Most important properties:

• high chemical resistance,
• high mechanical resistance (application in thick layers),
• can be applied directly to concrete,
• thermal resistance range for short-term exposure: -50°C to +140°C, long-term exposure: -20°C to +70°C,
• coating finish: gloss,
• does not come off the ground under the influence of hot tires.

Polyurea resins

Fast-drying Neodur Fast Track SF resin

Another solution that will prove useful in a home garage is the use of Neodur Fast Track SF . A major advantage of this product is its short application time of only 9 hours. Neodur Fast Track SF is also solvent-free, meaning there's no unpleasant odor during application. When first using this resin, we recommend applying it with a roller, but if you're feeling adventurous and want to try it out, you can also apply it with a trowel in a thicker layer. As with Neopox SF Plus, this resin is used to protect both new and previously used surfaces, such as tiles and concrete (to be used with the appropriate primer). The Neodur Fast Track SF resin coating is characterized by high chemical resistance and damage resistance (resistance tables can be found in the product data sheet ).

Most important properties:

• applied in one thick layer using a trowel/rubber squeegee (this allows us to obtain a coating as thick as if two separate layers were applied),
• based on a purely aliphatic resin containing UV filters, making it resistant to sunlight,
• hardens quickly, no longer sticky after 3 hours, allowing you to complete most projects within 1 day,
• high resistance to abrasion and mechanical loads,
• shows high chemical resistance to diluted acids, alkalis, car oils, gasoline.

Neodur Fast Track SF will be a very good solution in places such as warehouse ramps, garages, terraces, parking lots, warehouse and production halls, outdoor and indoor floors, goods storage areas, gas stations and laundries.

Neodur Fast Track quick-drying floor

Neodur Fast Track , a two-component polyurea coating, can be used both indoors and outdoors. This innovative system allows for a full coating to be applied and ready for use within 24 hours. For applications on concrete, Neodur Fast Track PR primer should be applied first. After three hours, the first coat can be applied, followed by a second coat after another three hours. Pedestrians can walk on the floor just three hours after applying the final coat. After one day, heavy traffic can be permitted. We recommend a short-nap velour roller for application. Most important properties:

• min. temperature during application is + 5°C,
• light pedestrian traffic allowed after 3 hours,
• full hardening of the coating in 24 hours,
• high chemical resistance of the coating.
