TELKYD S 220 polyvinyl primer
Telkyd S 220 is an industrial polyvinyl primer-finish. It does not require priming – it contains anti-corrosive pigments (zinc phosphate). The paint is designed for coating light non-ferrous metals and iron. The paint can be used as a primer-finish with a minimum dry film thickness of 80 μm. It dries quickly. Polyvinyl paints are flexible, making them ideal for metal facades and roofs covered with sheet metal (including coated sheets). They work with the substrate as temperatures change and the surface heats up.
Telkyd S 220 - available packaging, colors
Telkyd S 220 is available in a matte finish, in 2.36 kg and 10 kg packages. The paint is available in the full RAL color palette. Check the RAL color chart . RAL9006 and RAL9007 are metallic colors (light and dark aluminum). Each color is custom-tinted to the customer's order, so we do not ship this product cash on delivery. Payment can be made via PayU or by traditional bank transfer at checkout.

Preparation of the substrate
- for C2 and C3 corrosive environments, the substrate must be cleaned by abrasive blasting to Sa 2 ½
- for a C1 corrosive environment, the substrate must be clean, dry and free of grease and rust, mechanically cleaned to the degree of St 2 - St 3.
- on previously painted surfaces, old coatings should be removed, cleaned and degreased (e.g. with an aqueous solution of Emulsol RN-1 ).
- Neodur Metalforce rust remover 24 hours before painting .
Painting
- Apply layers of Telkyd S 220 paint to a dry film thickness of at least 80 μm. If necessary, apply additional layers after the previous layer has dried for 24 hours or using the wet-on-wet system after the solvents in individual layers have evaporated (after 30 minutes, but no later than 2 hours).
