Surface preparation and application

• The surface to be painted should be thoroughly cleaned, removed and degreased.
• Old glue or lime paint coatings must be removed.
• Application to fresh cement-lime plaster may be made no earlier than 4 weeks after its application.
• Smooth surfaces should be roughened with sandpaper to increase the adhesion of the substrate.
• Fill gaps and cracks with an appropriate putty, e.g. Filler or Biel-Putz, larger gaps with plaster.
• The substrate should be primed with Sil-Grunt deep-penetrating primer to increase the adhesion and durability of the coating.
