Surface preparation and application

• The surface to be painted must first be thoroughly cleaned, loose paint flakes removed and degreased.
• Old coatings of adhesive or lime paints must be removed.
• Application on fresh cement-lime plaster can be performed no earlier than 4 weeks after its application.
• Smooth surfaces should be roughened with sandpaper to increase substrate adhesion.
• Fill any gaps and cracks with a suitable putty, e.g. Filler or Biel-Putz, and larger gaps with plaster.
• The substrate should be primed with Sil-Grunt deep-penetrating primer to increase the adhesion and durability of the coating.
