Neoproof Polyurea R is a two-component, extremely durable polyurea waterproofing membrane for cold application by brush, roller, or airless spray. For use on roofs, balconies, and terraceswhere mechanical resistance and excellent waterproofing properties are required. This liquid waterproofing coating creates a smooth (bubble-free), moisture-impermeable polyurea insulation, exhibiting zero water absorption and resistance to mechanical damage. Based on aliphatic resins, it is fully UV-resistant and requires no additional topcoats. It can also be used on terraces and balconies, but we recommend additional sealing with a topcoat of Neodur FT Elastic or Troken Stone + Floortop 1Kfor easier cleaning. Rain can fall on the coating within 1 hour of application, making the product suitable for use in unpredictable weather conditions.

Available Neoproof Polyurea R colors include white, pyrite ash (RAL 7040), red oxide (RAL 3009), and mahogany brown (RAL 8016). Choosing light colors like white or graywill maximize the benefits of excellent waterproofing and improved energy efficiency. However, if environmental conditions prevent the use of light colors, you can choose a color that best suits the project. Whether you choose red oxide (RAL 3009) or mahogany brown (RAL 8016), you'll receive a durable waterproof coating.

Preparation of the substrate
The choice of primer depends on the type, moisture content, and condition of the substrate. The table below allows you to quickly select a basic solution. Products should be used in accordance with their current technical data sheets.

Roofing felt: Polyurea R can be applied without primer to a substrate in good condition. Larger cracks, joints, and irregularities should be reinforced appropriately, including with Neotextile NP nonwoven fabric.
Concrete: The primer type should be selected based on the substrate moisture content and construction conditions. Acqua Primer NP is the basic solution for properly prepared concrete. For more challenging conditions, epoxy primers such as Epoxol Primer, Neodur Fast Track PR, Neopox Primer WS, or Neopox Primer AY can be used.
Steel: The substrate should be thoroughly cleaned, removing loose particles and corrosion. For black steel, Neopox Primer 815 is used.
Galvanized steel and aluminum: after appropriate surface preparation, Neotex Inox Primer is applied.
PUR foam: New closed-cell foam in good condition can be overcoated directly. Old, degraded, or open-cell foam requires prior preparation and the application of a suitable primer.
Wood: The structure must be rigid and stable. Epoxol Primer is used as the primer. Additional priming may be necessary for highly absorbent wood.
PVC membranes: require appropriate chemical preparation of the surface before applying Polyurea R. In case of doubts regarding a specific substrate, we recommend consulting the TrokenTech technical department.

The membrane can be used on many types of substrates. Surface preparation and primer selection depend on the type and condition of the substrate.
Neoproof® Polyurea R can be applied directly to roofing felt in good condition, without primer. For other substrates, see the "Systemic Primers" section below.
