Neopox Special epoxy flooring resin is a two-component, solvent-based resin that is ideal for coating floors and lines in warehouses, garages, industrial halls, and food production and processing facilities. The resin creates highly chemically and mechanically resistant coatings, allowing forklifts to move over them without any problems. The coating boasts a high gloss, making it easy to clean and dirt-repellent.

CONCRETE: Apply Epoxol Primer r diluted with 10-15% epoxy thinner, or solvent-free Epoxol Primer SF-P .
FRESH OR DAMP CONCRETE: Use Neopox Primer WS . The concrete must be at least 2 weeks old. Moisture in the concrete must not be the result of capillary moisture rising from the ground, but, for example, from rainfall or frequent cleaning and inability to dry the substrate.
CONCRETE RISING MOISTURE CAPILLARY FROM THE GROUND: use Neopox Primer AY .
ANHYDRIT, SCREED, OTHER HIGHLY ABSORBENT FLOOR SCREEDS: Use Epoxol Primer diluted 10-15% with Neotex 1021 . Anhydrite or screed are poor-quality, highly absorbent substrates, therefore primer consumption may be higher than indicated in the technical data sheet.
TILES, GLOSS-POLISHED CONCRETE: For non-absorbent substrates, use Super Spoiwo RO3333 .
METAL SUBSTRATES: Apply one coat of Neopox Primer 815 diluted 8-10% with Neotex 1021 to protect against corrosion.
POLYESTER AND WOOD: The substrate should be rough (not smooth), level, free of dust, dirt, greasy and oily substances. Apply one coat of Neopox Special diluted 8% with Neotex 1021 . Dilute the second coat 4-8%. If a third coat is necessary, use a 4% dilution. If the wood is very absorbent, prime it with Epoxol Primer Neotex 1021 thinner .
The substrate must be clean, dry (moisture content below 4%), and free of all contaminants such as dirt, oil, grease, impregnation, etc. Cement laitance must be removed. Fill any local voids/cracks with Epoxol Putty . Before application, combine components A and B thoroughly, mixing them in the appropriate proportions by weight. Mix with a low-speed mechanical mixer, ensuring the product is thoroughly mixed along the walls and bottom. Neopox Special is a two-component resin (the price is for a complete set, i.e., the base and hardener).

We will choose the right solutionAll epoxy resins have similar drying times. The coating loses its tack after just a few hours, but the next coat should be applied after 24-36 hours. Full curing (chemical and mechanical) occurs after 7 days after applying the last coat. It is best not to use the floor during this time, and especially not to wash it with water or any cleaning agents. Drying and curing times depend on the ambient and substrate temperature. For Neopox Special resin, the minimum required temperature is +12°C, but we always recommend applying epoxy resins at around 20-22°C. This ensures that the coating will cure properly and maintain good strength parameters.
Epoxy resins consist of two components – a base and a hardener. These are chemically curable resins, meaning they harden through a chemical reaction between the components. Before painting, the base and hardener must be thoroughly mixed in the appropriate proportion. In the case of Neopox Special, this ratio is 3:1 by weight (e.g., 300 grams of base + 100 grams of hardener). After mixing, the mixture must be used within the specified time specified in the product data sheet. After this time, the resin is unsuitable for use. Neopox Special resin is applied by roller, brush, or spray, diluting it accordingly.
Epoxy resins are not UV-resistant, so we don't use them outdoors. For outdoor applications, we recommend Neodur Special , quick-drying polyurea resins , or our balcony systems .
Epoxy resin coatings are waterproof and chemically resistant. This makes them ideal for floors, making them easy to clean, and protecting concrete from contaminants.
By painting a floor with epoxy resin, we achieve a uniform, smooth coating, without any joints (except for possible expansion joints). This is a significant advantage compared to, for example, tiles, which have difficult-to-clean grout lines. Furthermore, these coatings are chemically resistant, making them resistant to dripping oil or road salt on car tires.
