Epimal Stal water-based primer is a two-component epoxy primer designed for anti-corrosion priming of steel surfaces before painting with topcoat, especially surfaces exposed to frequent contact with aggressive chemicals.

Water-based Epimal Stal primer - properties

• provides a durable, waterproof, anti-corrosion coating that is also largely resistant to chemical factors (diluted acids, alkalis, salts, oils, greases, fuels, solvents, detergents, etc.)
• contains anti-corrosion pigments without lead, chromium, cadmium and other metals harmful to health and the environment
• the product has a PZH certificate according to which it can be used for painting building surfaces inside and outside residential premises

After adding the hardener to the paint, mix for 5 minutes. After mixing, let the paint rest covered for 30 minutes, then after stirring, the paint is ready to paint. From this time, the paint should be used within 2 hours. It is ready-to-use paint; only if it thickens can you add up to 5% tap water. Under no circumstances should you add chalk, lime, dry adhesive paints, emulsion paints, or otherwise modify its composition. The substrate should be dry, sound, clean, and free of grease and dust. The surface to be restored should be thoroughly dedusted and degreased (especially traces of oil and grease), and cleaned of any rust residue by sanding, or in special cases, by sandblasting. Old, flaking, and cracked paint coatings should be removed. Smooth surfaces should be matted with sandpaper. Before putting the room into use, air out until the odor disappears.

Comments:

• Thoroughly mix the paint with the hardener before use. Do not change the recommended paint:hardener ratio. This may significantly reduce the coating's hardness.
• Do not paint outdoors in strong sunlight or rain. Do not paint surfaces that are wet or hot, e.g., as a result of strong sunlight.
• The surface must be thoroughly cleaned. Particular attention should be paid to degreasing.
• Protect the fresh coat of paint from precipitation until it is completely dry.
• Failure to follow these recommendations may result in paint peeling and void your warranty.

• Shelf life after waiting time (at 20°C): approx. 2 hours.
