EPIMAL G20 water-based epoxy primer

Epimal G20 water-based primer is a two-component epoxy primer designed for covering porous building surfaces indoors. It is recommended for use under high-quality water-based epoxy paints. It dries to a transparent finish. It can be applied to a variety of building materials, including plaster, concrete, brick, gypsum, wood, wood-based materials, and drywall.

Epimal G20 water-based primer - properties

• When applied correctly, it increases adhesion, unifies the absorbency and cohesion of the substrate.
• It is particularly recommended for priming concrete elements, e.g. floors, surfaces of concrete structures (e.g. fences, terraces, pillars, spans).
• the product has a PZH certificate, according to which it can be used for painting building surfaces inside and outside residential premises.

Epimal G20 water-based primer - surface preparation and application:

It is a ready-to-use primer after mixing with the hardener, but can be diluted with tap water up to 5% if necessary. Do not mix with acrylic primers. The substrate should be sound, clean, and free of grease and dust. The surface to be restored should be thoroughly dedusted and degreased (especially traces of oil and grease, e.g., with Sulfanol-A ), and cleaned of moss and lichen (using GrzyboStop ). Old, flaking and cracked paint coats must be removed. Fresh cement-lime plaster and concrete surfaces can be painted no sooner than 4 weeks after application. Fill gaps and cracks: indoors with acrylic putty (e.g., Biel-Putz ) or gypsum; outdoors and for floor repairs with cement mortar or Epifil H-50 or Epoxol Putty . The surface being painted may be slightly damp, but should not be wet. After adding the hardener to the primer, mix the mixture for 2 minutes. Once mixed with the hardener, the primer should be used within 2 hours.

Comments:

• Thoroughly mix the primer with the hardener before use. Do not alter the recommended primer-hardener ratio. This may significantly reduce the coating's hardness.
• Do not paint outdoors in strong sunlight or rain. Do not paint surfaces that are wet or hot, e.g., as a result of strong sunlight.
• The surface must be thoroughly cleaned. Particular attention should be paid to degreasing.
• Protect the fresh coat of paint from precipitation until it is completely dry.
• Failure to follow these recommendations may result in paint peeling and void your warranty.
• Before putting the room into use, air it out until the odor disappears.
• Protect from freezing.
