TELKYD P 100S primer for painting large surfaces
Telkyd P 100S is a universal, single-component, industrial alkyd primer for black steel. Particularly recommended for high-pressure spraying when painting large surfaces, such as containers. Thixotropic, it does not sag or smear on seams, edges, or joints. It bends with the substrate upon impact. Contains anti-corrosion pigments. It is characterized by excellent adhesion to the substrate and ease of application. It can be used as a primer for Telkyd primers and alkyd enamels:

- Telkyd S 200 TM quick-drying primer-enamel
- alkyd paint for painting containers Telkyd T 330

Substrate preparation
- for C2 and C3 corrosive environments, the substrate must be blast cleaned to Sa 2 ½
- for a C1 corrosive environment, the substrate must be clean, dry and free from grease and rust, mechanically cleaned to St 2 - St 3.
- on previously painted surfaces, remove old coatings, clean and degrease (e.g. with an aqueous solution of Emulsol RN-1 ).
- Neodur Metalforce rust remover 24 hours before painting .
Painting
An example of a typical painting system based on Telkyd P 100S topcoat:
- Apply 1-2 layers of Telkyd P 100S to achieve a dry film thickness of 40µm to 80µm. The optimal thickness of one layer is 40µm. Drying time per layer is 24 hours. Drying on metal objects can be accelerated by increasing the temperature to 80°C.
- Telkyd T 330 topcoat .
We recommend using a systemic thinner .
