TELKYD P 100S primer for painting large surfaces
Telkyd P 100S is a universal, one-component, industrial alkyd primer for black steel. We especially recommend it for high-pressure spraying when painting large surfaces, e.g. containers. Thixotropic, does not run or run on zippers, edges or joints. Upon impact, it bends with the ground. Contains anti-corrosion pigments. It is characterized by excellent adhesion to the substrate and ease of use. It can be used as a base for primers and alkyd enamels from the Telkyd line:
- primer enamel Telkyd S 200
- quick-drying primer enamel Telkyd S 200 TM
- Telkyd T 330 alkyd paint for painting containers

Substrate preparation
- for C2 and C3 corrosive environments, the substrate must be blast cleaned to Sa 2 ½
- for a C1 corrosive environment, the substrate must be clean, dry and free from grease and rust, mechanically cleaned to St 2 - St 3.
- on previously painted surfaces, remove old coatings, clean and degrease (e.g. with an aqueous solution of Emulsol RN-1 ).
- Neodur Metalforce rust remover 24 hours before painting .
Painting
An example, typical painting system based on Telkyd P 100S topcoat:
- 1-2 layers of Telkyd P 100S so that the dry film thickness is from 40µm to 80µm. The optimal thickness of one layer is 40 μm. The drying time for one layer is 24 hours. Drying on metal objects can be accelerated by increasing the temperature to 80°C.

We recommend using a systemic thinner .
