Highly resistant, water-repellent (hydrophobic) silicone paint.

At the customer's request, we tint the paint in colors from the RAL or NCS palette. Please contact us if you would like a color quote.

Applications of silicone facade paint

Building elements are intended for painting both inside and outside using water-soluble silicone paint.

Where will you apply?

• Plaster, wood and wood-based materials, plasters made of minerals and polymers (such as acrylic), bricks, plasterboards and ligno-cement boards.

• External facades and architectural elements such as fences, balconies, terraces and others that require high resistance to abrasion, moisture and weather conditions.

• For old structures , especially those of a historical nature. It can be used with excellent results due to its high water vapor permeability (high diffusivity).

The most important properties of silicone facade paint

• It shows impressive resistance to the negative effects of harmful substances such as moisture and salts.

• Provides a uniform, well-covering, smooth, waterproof coating with excellent adhesion to most typical construction substrates.

• It protects building surfaces against moisture absorption and dirt accumulation more effectively than standard facade paints.

• Significantly reduces surface dirt, giving them a long-lasting aesthetic appearance and enabling easy cleaning with a soft brush, sponge or damp cloth.

• It contains an aqueous dispersion of silicone resin, as well as permanent colors, mineral fillers, hydrophobizing agents and other modifiers that prevent the substrate from soaking up water.

• About 40% of the paint binder is silicone resin.

Hydrophobic facade paint

Facade paint is exposed to many external factors, such as changing weather conditions and air pollution. The hydrophobic formula of white facade paint makes the paint last for a long time without losing its protective properties. This is a product that will keep its fresh look for many years.

Surface preparation and application of silicone facade paint:

It is a ready-to-use paint (it can be thickened by adding up to 5% tap water).

• Chalk, lime and dry sticky paints should never be added.

• The surface to be painted must be carefully cleaned.

• Loose patches of paint, moss, lichen, dust and grease must be removed. Old glue and lime paint coatings must be removed.

• Fresh concrete and cement-lime plaster should not be painted before four weeks after installation.

• Vacuum after using sandpaper to smooth the surface. Cavities and gaps should be filled with cement mortar on the outside and acrylic putty or plaster on the inside.

• The durability of the coating will be significantly increased by using acrylic, deeply penetrating Sil-Grunt on uneven or absorbent substrates.
