Neopox Special floor epoxy resin is a two-component solvent-based resin that is perfect for painting floors and lines in warehouses, garages, industrial halls, and food production and processing halls. The resin creates coatings that are highly chemically and mechanically resistant, so they can be easily traversed by e.g. forklifts. The coating is characterized by a high gloss, making it easy to keep clean and dirt does not adhere to it.

CONCRETE: Apply Epoxol Prime r diluted with epoxy thinner in the amount of 10-15%, or Epoxol Primer SF-P .
FRESH OR DAMP CONCRETE: Use Neopox Primer WS .
Concrete must be at least 2 weeks old. Moisture in concrete cannot result from capillary rising of moisture from the ground, but from, for example, rainfall or frequent cleaning procedures and the inability to dry the substrate. CAPILLARY CONCRETE, FROM GROUND: Neopox Primer AY epoxy primer .
ANHYDRITE, SCREED, OTHER HIGH ABSORPTION FLOOR SCREED: Use solvent-based epoxy primer Epoxol Primer diluted 10-15% with Neotex 1021 .
Anhydrite or screed are poor-quality substrates with high absorbency, therefore the primer consumption may be higher than indicated in the technical data sheet. TILES, GLOSS POLISHED CONCRETE: In the case of non-absorbent substrates, use Super Binder RO3333 .
METAL SUBSTRATES: Apply one layer of Neopox Primer 815 diluted 8-10% with Neotex 1021 to protect against corrosion.
POLYESTER AND WOOD: the substrate should be rough (not smooth), level, and free from dust, dirt, greasy and oily substances. Apply one layer of Neopox Special diluted with 8% Neotex 1021 . Dilute the second layer with 4-8%. If a third layer is necessary, dilute it to 4%. If the wood is very absorbent, prime it with Epoxol Primer diluted 10-15% with Neotex 1021 .
The substrate must be clean, dry (moisture content below 4%) and free from any contamination, such as dirt, oil, grease, impregnation, etc. Cement laitance should be removed. Fill local holes/cracks with Epoxol Putty . Before application, combine the A&B ingredients and mix them thoroughly in appropriate proportions by weight. Mix with a low-speed mechanical mixer, making sure to mix the product thoroughly also at the walls and bottom. Neopox Special is a two-component resin (the price is for the set, i.e. base with hardener).

We will choose the right solutionAll epoxy resins have similar drying times. The coating stops being sticky after just a few hours, but the next layer should be applied after 24-36 hours. After applying the last layer, the coating fully hardens (chemically and mechanically) after 7 days. During this time, it is best not to use the floor, especially not to wash it with water or any cleaning agents. The drying and hardening time depends on the ambient and substrate temperature. In the case of Neopox Special resin, the minimum required temperature is +12°C, however, we always recommend that when applying epoxy resins, the temperature should be approximately 20-22°C. Thanks to this, we can be sure that the coating will harden properly and will have good strength parameters.
Epoxy resins consist of two components - a base and a hardener. These are the so-called self-curing resins, which means that they harden due to a chemical reaction between the ingredients. Before painting, you must thoroughly mix the base and hardener in the appropriate proportion. In the case of Neopox Special, the weight proportion is 3:1 (e.g. 300 grams of base + 100 grams of hardener). After combining the ingredients, the mixture should be used within the specified time specified in the product data sheet. After this time, the resin is unsuitable for use. Neopox Special resin is applied with a roller, brush or spray, diluting it appropriately.
Epoxy resins are not resistant to UV rays, so we do not use them outdoors. For outdoor use, we recommend a product based on Neodur Special , quick-drying polyurea resins or our balcony systems .
Coatings based on epoxy resin are waterproof and chemically resistant. Therefore, they work perfectly on floors, are easy to keep clean and protect concrete against contamination.
By painting the floor with epoxy resin, we obtain a uniform, smooth coating, without any joints (except for possible expansion joints). This is a very big advantage compared to, for example, tiles, where the grout is difficult to clean. Additionally, these coatings are chemically resistant, so they are not afraid of dripping oil or road salt on car wheels.
