How to finish the garage floor? Systems based on thin-film resins that can be applied at home

Solvent-free epoxy resin Neopox SF Plus

If we have some free time for renovation, we can use Neopox SF Plus epoxy resin , which requires 7 days to fully harden. It is a solvent-free resin, which means that there is no irritating smell during application. Neopox SF Plus can be applied to a variety of substrates. To make this possible, just use an appropriate primer: Super Binder R03333 for tiles, Epoxol Primer SF for concrete. System underlays are also low-odor, which allows us to go through the entire process conveniently and smoothly. The ease of application is due to the fact that the product is applied with a roller. The statement that resin coatings are resistant to various chemicals is confirmed by the chemical resistance table included in the technical data sheet, which can be found on the product page.

• thermal resistance range from -30°C to 100°C,

Neopox SF Plus is perfect for places such as laboratories, industrial halls, garages, warehouses, factories, slaughterhouses, hospitals, schools and parking lots.

Solvent-based Neopox Special resin

Neopox Special is a good choice if we want to make a floor that will not burden our household budget and at the same time meet all our expectations and requirements. Neopox Special is a two-component solvent-based epoxy paint with a glossy original finish. It needs 7 days to fully harden. It can be applied to a variety of substrates using appropriate primers, similarly to the Neopox SF Plus resin. Attention! In the case of concrete substrates, this resin can be applied directly to the concrete without the need for priming! One layer less, one day shorter! Neopox Special is also resistant to various chemicals, which is confirmed by the chemical resistance table included in the technical data sheet .

• thermal resistance range for short-term use: -50°C to +140°C, long-term use: -20°C to +70°C,

Polyurea resins

Fast-drying Neodur Fast Track SF resin

Another solution that will work well in a home garage is the use of quick-drying resin Neodur Fast Track SF . A big advantage when choosing this product is the short application time of the coating - only 9 hours. Neodur Fast Track SF is also a solvent-free resin, which means that there is no unpleasant odor during application. When first contacting this resin, we recommend applying it with a roller, but if someone likes challenges and wants to try their hand at it, this product can also be applied with a trowel in a thicker layer. As in the case of Neopox SF Plus, this resin is used to protect new and previously used surfaces, such as tiles, concrete (to be used with an appropriate primer). The Neodur Fast Track SF resin coating is characterized by high chemical resistance and resistance to damage (resistance tables can be found in the product's technical data sheet) .

Key features:

• applied in one, thick layer using a trowel/squeegee (thanks to this, we obtain a coating as thick as when applying two separate layers),
• created on the basis of a purely aliphatic resin containing UV filters, making it resistant to sunlight,
• cures quickly, no longer sticky after 3 hours, allowing most projects to be completed within 1 day,
• high resistance to abrasion and mechanical loads,
• shows high chemical resistance to diluted acids, alkalis, car oils and gasoline.

Neodur Fast Track SF will be a very good solution in places such as warehouse ramps, garages, terraces, parking lots, warehouses and production halls, external and internal floors, goods storage areas, gas stations and laundries.

Neodur Fast Track fast-drying floor

Neodur Fast Track two-component polyurea coating . It can be used both indoors and outdoors. This is an innovative system in which a full coating can be made and put into use within 24 hours. In case of application on concrete, first apply Neodur Fast Track PR primer. After 3 hours, start applying the first layer, after another three hours you can apply the second layer. Pedestrians can move on the floor just 3 hours after applying the last layer. After one day, heavy traffic can be admitted to the floor. For application, we recommend a velvet roller with short pile. Key features:

• min. temperature during application is + 5°C,
• light pedestrian traffic allowed after 3 hours,
• full hardening of the coating in 24 hours,
• high chemical resistance of the coating.
