NEOPOX SPECIAL flooring epoxy resin

Neopox Special floor epoxy resin is a two-component solvent-based resin that is perfect for painting floors and lines in warehouses, garages, industrial halls, and food production and processing halls. The resin creates coatings that are highly chemically and mechanically resistant, so they can be easily traversed by e.g. forklifts. The coating is characterized by a high gloss, making it easy to keep clean and dirt does not adhere to it.

Neopox Special flooring epoxy resin - properties:

• Temperature resistance: short-term -50°C to +140°C, long-term from -20°C to +70°C,
• Neopox Special does not require priming when used on a porous concrete substrate,
• Excellent resistance to fresh water, sea water, alkalis, petroleum derivatives, industrial atmosphere,
• Good resistance to solvents and diluted acids (full chemical resistance table can be found in the technical data sheet, available for download under the product description),
• Suitable as a protective coating for biological treatment plants.

Neopox Special - systemic primers:

CONCRETE: Apply Epoxol Prime r diluted with epoxy thinner in the amount of 10-15%, or Epoxol Primer SF-P .
FRESH OR DAMP CONCRETE: Use Neopox Primer WS .
Concrete must be at least 2 weeks old. Moisture in concrete cannot result from capillary rising of moisture from the ground, but from, for example, rainfall or frequent cleaning procedures and the inability to dry the substrate. CAPILLARY CONCRETE, FROM GROUND: Neopox Primer AY epoxy primer .
ANHYDRITE, SCREED, OTHER HIGH ABSORPTION FLOOR SCREED: Use solvent-based epoxy primer Epoxol Primer diluted 10-15% with Neotex 1021 .
Anhydrite or screed are poor-quality substrates with high absorbency, therefore the primer consumption may be higher than indicated in the technical data sheet. TILES, GLOSS POLISHED CONCRETE: In the case of non-absorbent substrates, use Super Binder RO3333 .
METAL SUBSTRATES: Apply one layer of Neopox Primer 815 diluted 8-10% with Neotex 1021 to protect against corrosion.
POLYESTER AND WOOD: the substrate should be rough (not smooth), level, and free from dust, dirt, greasy and oily substances. Apply one layer of Neopox Special diluted with 8% Neotex 1021 . Dilute the second layer with 4-8%. If a third layer is necessary, dilute it to 4%. If the wood is very absorbent, prime it with Epoxol Primer diluted 10-15% with Neotex 1021 .

Neopox Special epoxy floor coating - surface preparation and application:

The substrate must be clean, dry (moisture content below 4%) and free from any contamination, such as dirt, oil, grease, impregnation, etc. Cement laitance should be removed. Fill local holes/cracks with Epoxol Putty . Before application, combine the A&B ingredients and mix them thoroughly in appropriate proportions by weight. Mix with a low-speed mechanical mixer, making sure to mix the product thoroughly also at the walls and bottom. Neopox Special is a two-component resin (the price is for the set, i.e. base with hardener).
