LONIKOR phthalic primer

LONIKOR phthalic primer

Lonikor phthalic primer for use as an anti-corrosion primer on steel substrates.

Lonikor phthalic primer - purpose:

  • for priming steel and cast iron surfaces for anti-corrosion protection of steel structures in general and industrial construction (iron castings, machines, devices, support poles, barriers, fences, platforms, street lamps, chassis elements, car bodies, etc.)
  • for temporary protection against corrosion (during transport and assembly) of objects made of iron alloys

Lonikor phthalic primer - properties:

The coating is:
  • smooth, matte, well covering
  • perfectly adheres to the surface
  • quick-drying
  • Due to the content of active anti-corrosion pigments, it has a passivating effect on the substrate
  • resistant to temperatures from -20ºC to +80ºC (occasionally up to +100ºC)
Before painting, the substrate should be degreased, e.g. with an aqueous solution of the preparation Emulsol RN-1. Corrosion spots can be protected with a rust removal agent 12 hours before painting Top-Cor.

Lonikor phthalic primer - temporary protection:

Lonikor paint can be used as a temporary protection of structures during transport and assembly, and for ongoing anti-corrosion protection of sandblasted surfaces in field conditions. Use 1 ÷ 2 layers of paint. The paint coating protects the steel substrate from the influence of the surrounding atmosphere during:
  • up to 3 months when stored outdoors,
  • up to 6 months when stored under cover,
  • up to 12 months when stored indoors.
