RUST PRIMER RO769 rust primer
RO769 Anti-Corrosion Primer is a high-quality fish oil-based primer. Thanks to its special formula, it can be applied to damp surfaces, and thanks to its anti-corrosion pigments, it is ideal for corroded surfaces. The use of fish oil allows it to penetrate corroded surfaces, displacing moisture and trapped air, preventing corrosion. This primer is the foundation of Rust Oleum, founded in 1921 by fisherman Robert Fergusson. He noticed that corrosion did not progress in areas where fish oil had spilled on his fishing boat, and based on this, he created this flagship product.
RO769 anti-corrosion primer - properties:
- minimal surface preparation (manual cleaning)
- does not contain lead and chromates (almost odorless)
- a unique formula based on fish oil, a low-odor product
- penetrates rust down to the metal surface
- can be applied to damp surfaces
- durable protection against corrosion (even without topcoat)
- we recommend Alkythane RO7500 topcoat
