Alkyd enamels are varnishes that create durable coatings for use on metal, mineral and wooden surfaces. They are characterized by high resistance to atmospheric and mechanical factors. These are single-component diluent products. These enamels can be used for interior and exterior painting. Alkyd topcoats do not contain anti-corrosion pigments, so before applying them to metal, the surface must be primed with a system primer.

Alkyd primers dry quickly. They contain an active anti-corrosion pigment (zinc phosphate) , so they do not require the use of a separate primer on steel substrates. They create coatings that adhere well to the substrate, are mechanically durable, flexible, and resistant to unfavorable weather conditions and other corrosive factors.

Alkyd primers , often called phthalic primers (due to their ingredient - phthalic anhydride), are high-quality primers that provide anti-corrosion protection of steel substrates. They can be used both under enamels and alkyd primers. They are characterized by quick drying time and ease of use.
