Anti-corrosion paint for C3
Effective anti-corrosion protection is particularly important for protecting metal components and structures from harmful external factors. This category includes anti-corrosion paints with passivating properties that can be used for spray application. Most products are available in any color from the extensive RAL palette.
Where will C3 anti-corrosion protection work?
We offer products designed for corrosion class C3. They are primarily used for exterior steel structures, which are not exposed to aggressive contaminants. Corrosion risks arise primarily from temperature changes, sunlight exposure, precipitation, and periodic exposure to splashes, such as from vehicle traffic. Anti-corrosion paints rated for C3 can be used for:
- priming steel and galvanized structures in construction,
- securing machines and devices,
- protection of support columns,
- fences, furniture and all metal, aluminum and alloy elements.
Corrosion class C3 indicates a moderately aggressive outdoor environment with moderate sulfur oxide contamination – primarily urban and rural areas. Paints from this category can also be used indoors – in production rooms with moderate humidity.
Anti-corrosion paints for C3 – properties that determine effectiveness
Products offered in this category demonstrate high resistance to water and prolonged sunlight. They contain anti-corrosion pigments, providing effective protection against rust. They create a durable coating on painted surfaces, protecting the substrate from mechanical damage and weathering. They are suitable for outdoor use, as they are resistant to extreme and variable temperatures.
Anti-corrosion primer and protective paints for C3 are available in large packages – an efficient solution that is ideal for industrial use when painting large surfaces is necessary.
A comprehensive offer for professionals
Our product range includes single-component anti-rust primers for C3 . These products are quick-drying, allowing you to apply subsequent coats without long waiting times – significantly speeding up your work. The industrial anti-rust primer for C3 does not require the use of separate primers, and its coatings are resistant to acids, alkalis, salts, and oils. Are you pressed for time and want to complete your planned work quickly? A good choice is a quick-drying metal paint , which we recommend primarily to steel fabricators.
Planning to paint vertical surfaces and worried that the anti-corrosion paint will run, creating unsightly streaks and reducing its effectiveness? We offer paints with trixotropic properties, which determine viscosity and ensure perfect adhesion to the painted surface. If you're looking for a paint that will work well on primed and corrosion-protected surfaces, choose alkyd metal paints . Choose from a wide range of colors and choose from matte, semi-matte, or gloss finishes.
Take advantage of our expert advice and choose the best products for you

Anti-corrosion paint for C3 - what does it mean?
keyboard_arrow_down keyboard_arrow_upAccording to the PN EN ISO 12944-2 standard, there are six environmental corrosivity categories: C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, and CX. Class C1 is the lowest class (non-aggressive environment, inside dry rooms), while class CX designates the most aggressive corrosive environment, i.e., coastal areas. Class C3 is the intermediate class and represents urban atmospheres, coastal areas with low salinity, and production facilities with moisture (food plants, breweries, etc.). The paint, and above all, the coating thickness, should be selected appropriately for the corrosive environment and the required durability.
How long does it take to dry?
keyboard_arrow_down keyboard_arrow_upThis depends on the specific product. We can choose a quick-drying alkyd primer , where the second coat can be applied wet-on-wet after just 30 minutes. Alternatively, if we choose a two-component epoxy primer , the second coat can be applied after 24 hours.
Can C3 anti-corrosion paint be painted directly onto rust?
keyboard_arrow_down keyboard_arrow_upNo, the surface should typically be cleaned of rust before painting to achieve a surface preparation grade of Sa 2.5. If this is not possible, you can use a rust remover or choose an elastomeric paint to be applied directly to the rust .
Corrosion class C3 - what coating thickness?
keyboard_arrow_down keyboard_arrow_upThe coating thickness is selected based on the required durability period, which is typically specified by the client in the design. According to the PN EN ISO 12944-1 standard, four durability periods are distinguished: - short (L) - up to 7 years - medium (M) - 7 to 15 years - long (H) - 15 to 25 years - very long (VH) - over 25 years. The most common required durability periods are short, medium, and long. For class C3, the coating thickness is 100μm, 120-160μm, and 180μm, respectively.
