Troken Roof-T paint for concrete, ceramic, cement and asbestos roof tiles

Troken Roof-T roof paint is a water-soluble product intended for painting roofs and other outdoor surfaces, such as asbestos and ligno-cement slabs, fences, terraces, pillars and spans.

The paint can be used on various building materials, including: on plaster, concrete, brick.

Troken Roof-T is available in many colors from the RAL color palette, which look aesthetically pleasing on roof surfaces.

The most important properties of Troken Roof-T roof paint:

• provides good coverage,

• creates a smooth, uniform and flexible coating with a satin finish,

• durable and waterproof,

• washable - you can remove dirt without worrying about the roof paint coating,

• on concrete substrates - limits the penetration of gases from the atmosphere into the interior of the concrete, which may cause corrosion of the reinforcement.

How to use Troken Roof-T roof paint

Substrate preparation

The substrate should be load-bearing and clean - free of greasy stains and dust.
The surface should be thoroughly dusted and degreased and the so-called cement laitance that may have formed on the substrate.

Renovation of old roofs - moss and lichen on the roof should be removed manually, and the remains should be washed with GrzyboStop fungicide 24 hours before priming and rinsed thoroughly with water under pressure.

Substrates with old coatings should be washed with Sulfanol A, using a brush or washcloth. Then rinse thoroughly with water and make sure that there are no remnants of the preparation on the surface that may impair the adhesion of the paint.

Strongly chalked roof surfaces - sandblasting may be necessary. After sandblasting, perform the cleaning described in the previous point.

Smooth surfaces - should be roughened with sandpaper. Then perform cleaning as in the case of a substrate with old coatings.

The thickness of the layer on the roof tiles should be at least 0.1 mm - otherwise the paint coating will not provide sufficient protection.

Important information about paint for concrete, ceramic, cement and asbestos roof tiles

• Do not paint on damp or heated surfaces,

• Until the paint is completely dry, protect the painted surface from rain and frost,

• Do not add chalk, lime, solvents or pigments to the paint,

• The given paint drying times and time intervals between applying subsequent layers are given for a substrate temperature of +20 °C and a relative air humidity of 60%. Lower temperatures and higher humidity extend the drying time of roof paint,

• Painting should be planned so that the paint has time to dry before evening dew occurs.

The product should be at room temperature before application.

• The paint must be mixed thoroughly,

• Paint the prepared, dry surface with undiluted paint:

  • 2 times - when the substrate is covered with an intact coating,

  • 3 times - when the substrate is raw or has damage to the old coating.

The application of the first layer on a substrate with increased absorbency can be done with paint diluted with a small amount of drinking water (up to 5%). Do not dilute the paint too much, as this may affect its efficiency and hiding power.

If too much paint is absorbed into the substrate during the application of the product, stop painting and prime the surface again.
