UNIEPAL-DREW AQUA 1-K fire-retardant floor varnish

Uniepal-Drew Aqua 1-K varnish is a colorless, fire-retardant wood varnish for protecting and decoratively finishing wooden surfaces made from domestic wood species and wood-based materials: plywood, chipboard, and OSB boards, used indoors in residential and public spaces, as well as outdoors . Its high hardness and abrasion resistance make it suitable for use on floors, parquet floors, stairs, and furniture in public spaces. It should not be used on exotic woods. Classification:

Products coated with Uniepal-Drew Aqua 1-K varnish in an amount of at least 200 g/m2 ^have been classified in terms of flammability degree:

• elements made of wood and OSB boards with a thickness of at least 12 mm - as non-flammable (B-s1.d0)
• pine wood flooring with a thickness of at least 12 mm - as flame retardant (Bfl-s1)

Uniepal-Drew Aqua 1-K - varnish preparation:

Mix the product thoroughly before use. The preparation is ready to use – do not dilute!

Uniepal-Drew Aqua 1-K - substrate preparation:

Fill any surface defects, clean, degrease, and remove dust from the substrate. Uniepal-Drew Aqua 1-K varnish should only be applied to surfaces made of untreated wood with a relative humidity of no more than 20%. Once dry, the varnish forms a colorless coating without changing the color of the wood.

Uniepal-Drew Aqua 1-K - application:

Apply the varnish at a temperature above 10ºC. Before starting the actual work, it is recommended to perform a small-scale test to optimize application parameters (efficiency, flow, drying time, etc.). Apply the varnish two or three times to vertical and horizontal surfaces, totaling at least 200 g/m² ^. The thickness of a single wet layer should not exceed 40 μm. The final coating thickness should be at least 100 μm. The time interval between subsequent applications depends on the ambient temperature and humidity. At 23ºC (±2) and 50% relative humidity (±5), the second layer can be applied after 8 hours, and the third after the previous layers have completely dried. If a high aesthetic finish is essential, it is recommended to apply a thin first layer and, once dry, sand with a >240 grit abrasive to remove hairs. Immediately after finishing work, thoroughly clean spray tools or brushes with water.

Uniepal-Drew Aqua 1-K - comments:

• Solubility: soluble in water,
• After drying, it creates a colorless coating without changing the color of the wood,
• Surfaces covered with other varnishes may change the fire classification,
• The technical condition of the coating should be checked at least once every 12 months. Any damage should be repaired
• Do not mix with other varnishes.
