UNIEPAL-DREW AQUA 1-K fire-resistant floor varnish

Uniepal-Drew Aqua 1-K varnish is a colorless, fire-retardant wood varnish for protecting and decoratively finishing wooden surfaces made of domestic wood species and wood-based materials: plywood, chipboards and OSB boards used inside residential and public buildings and outdoors . It has high hardness and abrasion resistance, which allows it to be used on floors, parquets, stairs and furniture in public buildings. Should not be used on exotic wood. Classification:

Products coated with Uniepal-Drew Aqua 1-K varnish in an amount of at least 200 g/m ² have been classified in terms of flammability:

• elements made of wood and OSB boards with a thickness of at least 12 mm - as non-flammable (B-s1.d0)
• pine wood floor with a thickness of at least 12 mm - as flame retardant (Bfl-s1)

Uniepal-Drew Aqua 1-K - varnish preparation:

Mix the product carefully before use. The preparation is ready for use - do not dilute!

Uniepal-Drew Aqua 1-K - substrate preparation:

Fill in any surface defects, clean, degrease and remove dust from the substrate. Uniepal-Drew Aqua 1-K varnish should only be applied to surfaces made of raw wood with a relative humidity not exceeding 20%. After drying, the varnish creates a colorless coating without changing the color of the wood.

Uniepal-Drew Aqua 1-K - application:

Apply the varnish at a temperature above 10ºC. Before starting the actual work, it is recommended to perform a small-scale test to optimize the application parameters (efficiency, flow, drying time, etc.). Apply varnish two or three times on vertical and horizontal surfaces in a total amount of at least 200 g/m ² . The thickness of a single wet layer should not exceed 40 μm. The final coating thickness should be min. 100 μm. The time interval between subsequent treatments depends on the ambient temperature and humidity. At a temperature of 23ºC (± 2) and a relative humidity of 50% (± 5), the second layer can be applied after 8 hours, the third one after the previous layers have completely dried. If high aesthetics of the wood finish is important, it is recommended to apply the first thin layer and, after drying, sand with an abrasive material > 240 grit to remove hairs. Immediately after completing the work, clean the spraying tools or brush thoroughly with water.

Uniepal-Drew Aqua 1-K - comments:

• Solubility: dissolves in water,
• After drying, it creates a colorless coating without changing the color of the wood,
• Surfaces covered with other varnishes may change the fire classification,
• The technical condition of the coating should be checked at least once every 12 months. In case of damage, the gaps should be filled,
• Do not mix with other varnishes.
