Painting concrete roof tiles

The best method will be spray application. Concrete roof tiles usually have a wavy shape and nooks and crannies that are difficult to reach. By spray painting, we can be sure that we will cover the entire surface well. It is best to apply the layers crosswise to each other. If we cannot apply paint by spraying, we can paint it manually with a brush. You should then make sure that all the nooks and crannies are painted and the surface is uniformly covered.

As with any painting, preparing the surface is half the battle. The substrate should be thoroughly washed with water under pressure. If it is very dirty, you can additionally use Sulfanol A. If the tiles are covered with moss or lichen, apply the GrzyboStop fungicide after washing . Then we prime the tile with Sil-Grunt , which will ensure even absorption, uniform color and reduce paint consumption.

One of the methods of protecting roof tiles against water and dirt is impregnation. We usually choose this method when we do not want to change or refresh the color of the roof. Silimper Nano impregnation preserves the natural appearance of the roof tiles and does not affect its color in any way. After impregnation, the surface becomes hydrophobic and resistant to dirt. The disadvantage of this solution may be the fact that after impregnation we will not be able to paint the roof tiles for the next 3 to 6 years (the paint will have worse adhesion).
