Polyvinyl paint for painting steel, cast iron, aluminum, plaster and concrete. It meets the requirements of the Regulation of the Minister of Economy and is certified by the National Institute of Hygiene, allowing it to be used in welding plants. Eliminates harmful optical radiation.

POLYVINYL PAINT FOR WELDING

Polyvinyl welding paint is designed for painting welding rooms (walls, screens, and the interior of welding booths). It can be used on steel and cast iron (previously primed), aluminum, and plaster and concrete surfaces. The paint coating meets the requirements of the Regulation of the Minister of Economy of April 27, 2000 (Journal of Laws No. 40, item 470) on occupational health and safety during welding. The paint is PZH certified for these applications.

Polyvinyl paint for welding - properties:

The coating is:
  • smooth
  • matte
  • good grip
  • quick drying
  • temperature resistant from -20ºC to +60ºC (periodically up to +80ºC)
The paint coating dampens harmful optical radiation and seals the anti-corrosion coating, thus protecting painted objects from the damaging effects of the atmosphere.

Polyvinyl paint for welding - surface preparation

Surfaces to be painted should be dry, dust-free, free of oil and other contaminants.
steel surfaces for painting according to the instructions contained in the catalog cards of anti-rust primers (e.g. Lowikor-2 ).
When renovating old coatings, it is recommended to wash the structure with high-pressure water and, depending on the degree of damage to the coating, clean the substrate by abrasive blasting to a cleanliness of Sa 2 1/2 (the entire surface or locally). Local cleaning by hand or with power tools to a cleanliness of at least St 2 is permissible. Prime the cleaned substrate no later than 6 hours after cleaning to prevent flash rust.
aluminum can be painted directly (without priming). If necessary, lightly sand the surface.
Plaster and concrete can be painted no sooner than 4 weeks after application. Before painting, prime the surface with Lowigrunt dispersion primer and wait 12 hours before painting. For renovation painting, clean the surface of dirt, dust, and loose paint coatings. Fill any imperfections with appropriate touch-up materials, and then prime the entire surface or locally with the aforementioned primer.
