Kryptanate 100 Flex polyaspartic resin

Kryptanate 100 Flex is a polyaspartic varnish which, due to the working time of the mixture, is placed between standard systems based on polyurea and those based on polyurethane. Extending the working time of the ready mixture to up to 25 minutes at room temperature allows for manual application. As a solvent-free product, it is possible to obtain thicker layers up to 500 g/m ² , applied in one layer. The hardening time is much shorter than in the case of traditional polyurethane-based varnishes. Additionally, Kryptanate 100 Flex can be used to seal colored sands.

Kryptanate 100 Flex – properties:

• Excellent resistance: Kryptanate 100 Flex is highly resistant to a wide range of chemicals such as traditional fuels, jet fuel and concentrated alkalis. The mentioned resistance allows it to be used freely, among others: in garages. The full chemical resistance table can be found in the product data sheet. Additionally, it has excellent resistance to weather and temperature conditions, making it suitable for use in cold stores.
• Speed ​​of application: thanks to quick polymerization, the applied coating is dry to the touch after just 75 minutes at 21 ^° C! It is worth mentioning that using Kryptanate 100 Flex, layers with a thickness of 200 to 500 g/m ² , which significantly shortens the renovation time.
• UV resistance: due to the aliphatic structure of the resin, the finished product is resistant to UV rays and weather conditions, which translates into no yellowing effect.
• Cleanliness: easy to keep clean with traditional water washing.

Substrate preparation

1. Substrate requirements:

• The substrate should have a minimum tensile strength of 1.5 MPA and a minimum compressive resistance of 25 MPA;
• Clean, free from water and other contaminants;
• Permissible humidity – up to 4%;
• The ideal substrate temperature during application should be between 10 ^° C and 25 ^° C;
• If higher moisture is suspected deep in the substrate, it is necessary to use an appropriate primer;
• Fresh concrete substrates should be seasoned for at least 3 weeks.
• The substrate should be absorbent and have a slightly rough structure, which will increase the adhesion of the finished product.

Preparation of the Kryptanate 100 Flex product:

• Kryptanate 100 Flex is available in two variants: 4 kg and 11 kg.
• In the first step, mix component A using a low-speed mixer, taking care not to aerate the product. The right moment will be to completely dissolve the fillers.
• Then, measure the appropriate amount of component A into another container to prepare the finished product in an amount that can be applied during the pot life of the mixture. In the next step, add the appropriate amount of component B. Mix everything again with a low-speed mixer for about 2 minutes. It is recommended to prepare the ready mixture for approximately 15 minutes of work in order to reduce subsequent potential losses resulting from the end of the product's working time.

Kryptanate 100 Flex application:

• The prepared Kryptanate 100 Flex mixture can be applied with a roller or brush from 200 g/m2 to 500 g/m2 in one layer, onto a previously prepared substrate.
• For safety reasons, airless spray is not recommended.
