EPIMAL LX hygienic epoxy paint

Epimal LX is a two-component water-soluble epoxy paint intended for painting surfaces particularly exposed to damage and dirt (often requiring washing) in public utility facilities, catering facilities, car washes and for use in places where exceptional cleanliness, hygiene and protection are required, e.g. hospitals and other health care facilities, food and pharmaceutical industries, etc.

Epimal LX can be used in healthcare facilities that require air purity class ISO 5 according to ISO 14644-1. This is confirmed by report No. 01888/14/Z00NF from tests carried out at the Building Research Institute. ISO class 5 corresponds to purity classes A and B, in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Health of November 7, 2015 on the requirements of Good Manufacturing Practice (Journal of Laws 2015, item 1979), based on the GMP/PIC-Guide guidelines.

Hygienic epoxy paint

• The coatings are characterized by high resistance to scrubbing and abrasion as well as cleaning with standard disinfectants and detergents,
• Properly selected ingredients make the applied coatings highly resistant to all types of microorganisms (colonies of bacteria and fungi),
• It retains its protective properties for many years of use,
• Provides a durable, waterproof coating that is largely resistant to chemical agents (diluted acids, alkalis, salts, oils, greases, fuels, solvents, detergents, etc.),
• It has the NIZP-PZH Hygienic Certificate (intended for use in construction for painting walls and ceilings inside residential, public, health care, warehouse and production rooms, including the food industry.

Epoxy biocidal paints

• For places with strict hygiene requirements,
• Recommended for rooms exposed to frequent contact with aggressive chemicals, e.g. floors of production and warehouse halls, warehouses,
• Suitable for painting concrete surfaces (e.g. floors, concrete structures) and steel surfaces, directly or after priming with epoxy primer paint,
• It can also be used on other building materials, such as plaster, bricks, wood-based materials (to a limited extent).

Preparation and priming of the substrate

Epimal LX is ready-to-use paint, only if it thickens, you can add up to 5% of tap water. Under no circumstances should you add chalk, lime, dry glue paints, emulsion paints or modify its composition in any other way. The substrate should be load-bearing, clean, free of grease and dust. The surface to be renovated should be thoroughly dusted and degreased (especially traces of oil and grease), and cleaned of moss and lichen. Old peeling and cracked paint coatings must be removed. Fresh cement-lime plaster and concrete surfaces can be painted no earlier than 4 weeks after application. Matte smooth surfaces with sandpaper. Remove traces of corrosion from steel surfaces. Fill in gaps and cracks.

• Porous substrates (concrete, plaster) should be primed with Epimal G20 , which will increase the durability of the coating and prevent the coating from peeling (do not use other types of primers, e.g. acrylic!),
• Epimal Stal epoxy primer should be used on steel structures , which will give the substrate anti-corrosion properties.

The standard color of the paint is white, but at the customer's request we can produce a custom color according to the RAL or NCS palette. Please contact us for a color quote. Epimal LX is a two-component paint (the price is for the set, i.e. base with hardener). To make it easier to combine the ingredients, we recommend a cup for mixing paints and varnishes (also useful for dividing the paint into smaller portions).
