FEG-B high build epoxy

Feg-B is a thixotropic, two-component epoxy product for painting concrete substrates (including floors in garages, warehouses, factory halls, etc.) and plasters.

Feg-B - properties

• The coating is smooth, hard, flexible, opaque, and has good adhesion to the substrate.
• Resistance to water, solvents, liquid fuels, greases, oils, aqueous solutions of acidic or alkaline chemicals and other popular corrosive factors,
• Can be applied in layers up to 250 µm thick (high build epoxy),
• Self-applied paint coatings are intended for use indoors, in dry and humid atmospheres (epoxies are not resistant to UV radiation),
• It has a PZH certificate - a product intended for professional use in industry and construction, including public utilities for painting steel, cast iron, galvanized and concrete surfaces (not in contact with food and water intended for human consumption).

Feg-B - anti-slip properties

FEG-B has received a positive assessment from an accredited laboratory in terms of anti-slip properties according to DIN 51130:2004-06 and DIN V 18032-2:2001-04. The final assessment of the tests carried out using the above-mentioned paints determines the fulfillment of the R12 class requirement of the DIN 51130 standard, which means that they can be used in the following types of rooms:

• dry rooms inside buildings,
• entrances of zones and stairs with access from the outside,
• restaurants, shops, clinics, hospitals and schools,
• bathrooms and showers, small kitchens, underground garages,
• rooms for the production of catering food (preparing food catering), laboratories, laundries, hangars,
• production rooms using fats, milk, dairy products, oils and meats, industrial production rooms using slippery substances, as well as parking lots and terraces.

Another final assessment of the tests carried out with the above-mentioned paints determines the fulfillment of the slip coefficient requirement according to DIN V 18032-2:2001-04, which in practice means that floors can be painted with these paints:

• in sports halls and gymnasiums,
• indoor playing fields,
• dance halls.

Application

For thick-coat protection of concrete substrates (including floors in garages, production halls, warehouses, basements, etc.) and plasters.

Substrate preparation and application

• In the case of concrete, the paint should be applied to strong and smooth surfaces (without scratches, protrusions and gaps) and dry and clean - degreased with a preparation such as Sulfanol A and thoroughly cleaned of any impurities and poorly bonded construction material, in particular cement laitance (lime laitance). No primer is required - the first layer should be diluted with a general-purpose epoxy thinner (5% by volume). The hardened coating is smooth - to give the surface structure, the first layer can be wet sprinkled with quartz sand .
• The steel substrate should be degreased, e.g. with Emulsol , clean, dry and rust-free. Top-Kor rust remover . Feg-C anti-corrosion epoxy paint and then with Feg-B epoxy topcoat. This system is perfect for securing, for example, metal stairs.

Feg-B is a two-component paint (the price is for the set, i.e. base with hardener). To make it easier to combine the ingredients, we recommend a cup for mixing paints and varnishes (also useful for dividing the paint into smaller portions).
