What type of substrate should be used for an industrial resin floor?
keyboard_arrow_down keyboard_arrow_upThe quality of the substrate under the resin has a significant impact on the durability, efficiency and final appearance of the flooring resin. The best substrate is concrete, which should be load-bearing, have a compressive strength of at least 25 MPa, and the pull-off test result should be at least 1.5 MPa. Various types of screed or anhydrite screeds are also common substrates. Flooring resins can also be applied to this type of substrate, but you must be sure that they are of good quality and sufficient hardness. Poor quality substrates can be strengthened by "soaking" them with a solvent-based epoxy primer (e.g. Epoxol Primer ), but it is difficult to predict what the product consumption will be.
What to clean with?
keyboard_arrow_down keyboard_arrow_upResin floors can be washed with generally available floor cleaning agents. If you choose industrial cleaning agents, choose neutral ones with a pH of 7 to 10. Do not use agents containing water-soluble salts or high concentrations of alkalis or acids. A popular method is to wash resin floors with an ammonia solution (concentration about 3%). It is best to use soft sponge or cloth mops for washing. Before using any new agent, it is best to test it on a small area in an inconspicuous place.
Is polyurethane resin harmful to health?

Polyurethane floors can be found in hospitals and schools - where it is important to maintain a non-toxic environment. Using polyurethane resin as a floor may even have health benefits. There are highly flexible polyurethane floors available on the market, so walking on them does not burden the joints. Additionally, some polyurethane floors have antistatic properties, which makes life easier for allergy sufferers - dust does not stick to the floor and it is easy to keep it clean.
Can resin flooring be used in a garage?
