EPOXOL PRIMER solvent-based epoxy primer

Epoxol Primer is a two-component, solvent-based epoxy primer.

Epoxol Primer - application:

• Floors and walls intended to be covered with epoxy surface paints, requiring high mechanical and chemical resistance.
• Neodur Special polyurethane floor paint
• To stabilize old concrete substrates and improve adhesion before using epoxy putties.
• Before applying the primer, the concrete should be seasoned for at least 4 weeks. If the concrete is damp or has min. Neopox Primer WS primer for damp substrates .
• If the floor is exposed to capillary rising damp, use Neopox Primer AY .

Advantages:

• High abrasion resistance,
• Resistance to alkalis, dilute acids and many solvents,
• The solvent content allows for deep penetration of the substrate, which significantly increases the durability of the topcoat.

Substrate preparation:

• The substrate should be dry (humidity <4%), stable and well insulated against possible rising damp,
• Free from dust, dirt, greasy and oily substances,
• Sulfanol A to degrease the substrate . The product has strong wetting properties and a high ability to decompose fatty impurities.

App:

• Epoxol Primer is a two-component primer (the price is for the set, i.e. the base with the hardener). Combine both ingredients and mix thoroughly with a low-speed mixer for 2-3 minutes.
• The mixture should be diluted 10-15% with Neotex 1021 .
• Apply one layer. After 24 hours, check whether the entire surface is uniformly shiny. If dull spots remain, it means that the floor is locally more absorbent/porous and priming should be repeated in these places.
• Application with a velvet roller, brush or spray.

Epoxol Primer epoxy primer is a solvent-based preparation, so it produces an unpleasant odor during application. Our offer also includes a solvent-free epoxy primer, Epoxol Primer SF, with less odor.

The offered deeply penetrating solvent- based epoxy primer has a consistency that allows it to reach deep layers of the substrate, influence its stabilization and improve the durability of topcoats. It is also perfect for old concrete and when you need to increase the adhesion of epoxy putties or fillers. It is distinguished by:

• hardness and resistance to mechanical damage,
• possibility of use in places where strong chemicals are used,
• relatively short drying time - foot traffic can take place after 24 hours, and full hardening occurs after about 7 days,
• easy to apply – by roller, brush or spray.
