Quartz sand
It's a natural and highly available raw material, composed primarily of quartz grains. Its unique physical and chemical properties make it an excellent choice for anyone seeking a durable, resistant, and aesthetically pleasing building material. Quartz sand is an incredibly versatile raw material, used and utilized in construction chemicals for the production of concrete, mortar, plasterboard, and sealing products. Thanks to its physical and chemical properties, it allows for the creation of durable and aesthetic finishes, essential for any construction project.
Quartz sand for resin
Quartz sand is often used as an additive to epoxy resins to increase their strength and hardness. The sand also provides excellent adhesion and mechanical resistance to abrasion. This special type of sand is well-suited to working with resins because it is free of contaminants. The addition of quartz sand to resin screeds gives the floor anti-slip properties and also serves as a filler, which positively affects material consumption. An additional advantage of using quartz sand with resin screeds is the masking of any surface irregularities.
Dried quartz sand is sold in 25kg or 2.5kg bags. The sand is dried at 1600°C, which prevents moisture buildup and allows it to be used with various resins as an anti-slip additive or filler in epoxy screeds.
