Zinc spray
Looking for comprehensive anti-corrosion solutions and prioritizing quick and easy application? In this category, we offer professional zinc spray paints. You'll find zinc sprays in handy 500-milliliter cans, perfect for covering small surfaces and for minor repairs and finishing. These include both primers and topcoats. Check out the spray paints we've prepared for you and learn about their properties!
Spray paint for galvanized steel – the most important parameters
Every professional zinc spray paint contains a high zinc content—at least 80%—and therefore provides effective anti-corrosion protection for steel surfaces. We offer products for use in corrosive environments where the risk of rust development is high. To mitigate its destructive effects on structures and prevent permanent damage, it's worth investing in proven anti-corrosion systems.
Specialized zinc spray has the following properties:
- a high percentage of zinc, which – as the main component in the created coating – inhibits the development of rust and provides cathodic protection of the substrate,
- short drying time – the surface can be touched just 10 minutes after application, so you can complete the planned work quickly and without delay,
- the aesthetics of the obtained coating – it is matte, and if you choose metallic spray galvanization , you will get a slightly shimmering layer,
- ease of application – you can easily paint selected surfaces using a convenient spray can,
- thermal resistance – we offer products that create a coating that is resistant to temperatures up to 450°C,
- good results in salt spray tests – up to 400 hours according to DIN 50021 SS.
Importantly, the zinc spray paints we offer do not require priming – we offer primer-enamel coatings, which simply require cleaning the surface to achieve optimal adhesion. We also offer primers, carefully formulated products for cold galvanization.
Zinc spray – application
Zinc spray can be used wherever quick application is required on surfaces exposed to rust. As a standalone coating, it can be used in corrosive environments in light industrial settings. Recommended applications for products in this category include:
- securing new steel substrates – galvanized or properly prepared and cleaned,
- painting small surfaces,
- making minor corrections to damaged parts of metal structures,
- securing welds,
- finishing works.
Spray galvanizing is also great for applying to hard-to-reach places that are impossible to reach with a brush.
Galvanization durability test
The tests that spray-galvanized products undergo are designed to verify their quality, durability, and corrosion protection. The most common tests are salt spray tests and thermal resistance tests. Salt spray tests are conducted in a closed salt chamber, where the spray-galvanized product is exposed to an aggressive salt environment. This type of test allows for the assessment of a product's corrosion resistance in highly demanding atmospheric conditions. The second test involves testing the galvanized product's resistance to various temperatures, both low and high, and allows for the assessment of how well the product protects the surface against corrosion in harsh thermal conditions. Test results are typically presented on product packaging, and choosing the right spray-galvanized product is crucial if you want to achieve a durable and long-lasting surface. Before purchasing a galvanized product, thoroughly familiarize yourself with the environment in which it will be used, which will allow you to select the appropriate spray. Our recommended product, characterized by the highest resistance to salt and high temperatures, is GALVA ZINC RO1285 . This is a product that withstands a 500-hour salt spray test and is resistant to temperatures up to 450°C.
Protect your structure against rust with our zinc
If your project involves painting steel surfaces that require corrosion protection, choose our zinc spray paints! These products are based on styrene-acrylic or epoxy ester resin. They contain pure zinc, which creates an excellent anti-rust barrier, protecting the structure even in high humidity conditions.
