Anti-corrosion zinc-rich paints
What are high-zinc products?
High-zinc products , i.e., paints and sprays for galvanization, contain a high zinc dust content. They have anti-corrosive properties . Applied to clean steel, they create a cathodic bond with the substrate, providing excellent surface protection. Some products are also resistant to high temperatures. They can be used to replenish zinc coatings, for example, after welding structures. They are also very effective for small jobs, such as securing barriers or fences.
Our offer includes:
Galva Zinc is a quick-drying, cold galvanizing product designed for larger surfaces and can be applied by brush. Suitable for use as a primer or as a final coat.
Galva Zinc-Alu brushable for application to new, cleaned, sandblasted or galvanized surfaces, quick-drying.
Tioxokor-G3 zinc-rich paint is used for professional anti-corrosion protection of steel and cast iron objects. Recommended as a first coat for priming the substrate.
Galva-Zinc Spray is a spray primer with a grey-matt finish, for protecting welds.
Galva-Zinc-Alu Spray, quick-drying primer and topcoat in one.
Galva Expresse Quick-drying zinc primer with a grey-matt finish.

Zinc paint - how to prepare the surface?
keyboard_arrow_down keyboard_arrow_upZinc paints should be applied to a clean steel substrate. This not only involves degreasing the surface but also removing rust. To provide anti-corrosion properties, zinc paint must be applied to clean, bare metal – only then will it form a cathodic bond with the substrate and be effective.
Does zinc-rich paint need to be repainted?
keyboard_arrow_down keyboard_arrow_upThis isn't necessary; zinc paints can be used as standalone, final topcoats. However, if they are to be repainted, remember to choose a topcoat that is compatible with galvanized surfaces.
How to paint?
keyboard_arrow_down keyboard_arrow_upZinc paints with a high zinc dust content have a very high density. Simply put, they are heavy. Therefore, they are applied by brush rather than spray. Some products allow application by high-pressure spray. This information is included in each product's technical data sheet. It is crucial to thoroughly mix the product during application – heavy zinc dust will settle to the bottom. The paint should be stirred occasionally during application, too.
