Polyurethane paints for metal

Polyurethane enamels are two-component products whose base is a mixture of pigments and fillers with the addition of additives, and the second component is a hardener, i.e., a solution of aliphatic polyisocyanate. To create the desired consistency, mix both enamel components in the appropriate proportions immediately before painting. The resulting coating is smooth, scratch-resistant, and resistant to atmospheric and chemical factors. It has excellent adhesion to iron, mineral substrates (plaster, concrete, brick, etc.), wood, wood-like materials, and plastics (except polyethylene and polypropylene).

Purpose of polyurethane paints for metal:

• steel structures to protect against corrosion,
• elements made of non-ferrous metals (e.g. machine parts) for protective and decorative purposes,
• mineral substrates (concrete, plasters, etc.) to protect against atmospheric factors and chemicals.

Surfaces to be painted should be dry, degreased and free of foreign contaminants.

What are polyurethane primers?

Polyurethane primers are two-component substances based on acrylic resin hardened with aliphatic polyisocyanate and pigmented with anti-corrosive properties. They do not require additional priming before painting. The components – base and hardener – should be mixed together in the appropriate proportions before painting. These primers can be used on surfaces in construction, historic renovation, and industry, including iron, mineral (plaster, concrete, brick, etc.), wood, wood-like materials, and plastics. They are characterized by excellent adhesion to the substrate and resistance to UV radiation, corrosion, atmospheric factors, and chemicals.

Before painting, the surface should be clean, dry and free of all types of contaminants such as grease, oil, salts, etc.
