Acrylic Stone Varnish is a colorless, water-based product. A purely acrylic varnish for the decorative and protective coating of natural stone (e.g., sandstone) and artificial stone surfaces. It is designed for varnishing various products made from natural stone materials, as well as cement and various types of mineral aggregates. It can also be used to preserve mosaic plaster.
Once dried, the coatings are characterized by gloss, transparency, and hardness, yet also flexibility, abrasion resistance, cracking resistance, and water resistance. Depending on the dilution ratio, a glossy or matte surface can be achieved.
Due to its decorative and protective qualities, it is recommended for both interior and exterior use. On natural stone, it reveals another advantage: it highlights the rock's features, color, and structure.
It is based on high-quality, yellowing-resistant pure acrylic resin. It contains no harmful solvents or heavy metals.
The varnish does not require dilution and is suitable for use as is. However, if a matte finish is desired, drinking-quality water may be added. Do not add water from natural bodies of water, such as lakes, rivers, or ponds.
Proper and thorough preparation of the stone before painting is essential for achieving the desired quality of the coating. The surface should be dry, dust-free, and clean. Remove algae and lichens, and thoroughly degrease. Apply the coating evenly in a thin layer, avoiding excess. Avoid streaks. To achieve a thicker layer (with a higher gloss), apply the varnish several times. Before putting the room into use, air it out until the odor disappears. The varnish should not be applied to floors. For this purpose, use KLB System Polyurethan PU 805 E or Neodur Varnish indoors. Neodur Varnish can also be used outdoors.
Impregnation: The varnish can also be used to impregnate stone. To do this, dilute the varnish by slowly adding water in a 1:4 ratio (1 part varnish to 4 parts water) and mix thoroughly. Apply 1-2 coats (as needed).
It has a PZH certificate according to which it can be used for painting stone, concrete and plaster surfaces inside and outside residential premises, public utility buildings, healthcare facilities, warehouses and production facilities, including the food industry (without contact with food).
