EPIMAL STAL water-based epoxy primer

Water-soluble Epimal Stal primer is a two-component, epoxy primer intended for anti-corrosion priming of steel surfaces before painting with topcoat, especially surfaces exposed to frequent contact with aggressive chemicals.

Water-soluble Epimal Stal primer - properties

• provides a durable, waterproof, anti-corrosion coating that is largely resistant to chemical agents (diluted acids, alkalis, salts, oils, greases, fuels, solvents, detergents, etc.)
• contains anti-corrosion pigments without lead, chromium, cadmium and other metals harmful to health and the environment
• the product has a PZH certificate , according to which it can be used for painting building surfaces inside and outside residential premises

Water-soluble Epimal Stal primer - surface preparation and application

After adding the hardener to the paint, mix everything for 5 minutes. After mixing, leave the paint covered for 30 minutes, then after mixing, the paint is ready for painting. From then on, the paint should be used up within 2 hours. It is a ready-to-use paint, only if it thickens, you can add up to 5% of tap water. Under no circumstances should you add chalk, lime, dry glue paints, emulsion paints or modify its composition in any other way. The substrate should be dry, load-bearing, clean, free of grease stains and dust. The surface to be renovated should be thoroughly dusted and degreased (especially traces of oil and grease), cleaned of rust residues by grinding and, in special cases, by sandblasting. Old peeling and cracked paint coatings must be removed. Matte smooth surfaces with sandpaper. Before putting into operation, ventilate the room until the smell disappears.

Comments:

• Before use, mix the paint thoroughly with the hardener. Do not change the recommended paint:hardener ratio. This may significantly reduce the hardness of the coating.
• Do not paint outdoors in strong sunlight or rain. Do not paint surfaces that are wet or hot, e.g. due to strong sunlight.
• The surface must be thoroughly cleaned. Particular attention should be paid to degreasing.
• Protect the fresh paint coat from precipitation until it is completely dry.
• Failure to follow these recommendations may result in paint peeling and loss of warranty.
• Protect against freezing.

• paint density: approx. 1.5 g/cm³,

Epimal Stal is a two-component paint (the price is for the set, i.e. the base with the hardener). To make it easier to combine the ingredients, we recommend a cup for mixing paints and varnishes (also useful for dividing the paint into smaller portions).
