TOP-KOR rust remover for metal
Top-Kor is used to remove rust and protect poorly cleaned steel surfaces from corrosion before painting. It is a film-forming product that converts unstable trivalent iron compounds (yellow-brown rust) into stable, very sparingly soluble divalent iron complexes.
It is characterized by a triple action:
- rust remover (processes and binds rust)
- barrier (creates a barrier against oxygen and moisture, which protects against future rusting)
- penetrating (penetrates hard-to-reach places and protects them)
For use under solvent-based paints (e.g. Lowigraf-Pur, Telpur S 200 polyurethane primer, Chemically resistant anti-corrosion epoxy Epodux IM 209 etc.). If you are looking for a rust remover for water-based paints, check out Neodur Metalforce.
Top-Kor metal rust remover
- When applied to rusty iron surfaces, it creates a stable, graphite-gray layer that does not oxidize further, thus guaranteeing long-term protection against corrosion
- When applied to smooth, rust-free steel, it will create a colorless varnish coating with good adhesion to the substrate, which will cut off the flow of moisture and oxygen from the air and temporarily protect the substrate against corrosion,
- It also protects the cracks, pores and crevices of the substrate against corrosion,
- It has a Hygiene Certificate from the National Institute of Public Health and National Institute of Hygiene (the product is intended for external use in construction and for use in industry, excluding surfaces in contact with food products, medicines and water intended for human consumption).
Substrate preparation:
Surfaces to be derusted and impregnated should be dry, free of dirt, dust, and degreased. A water solution of EMULSOL RN-1 .
