Steelguard fire retardant paints for steel – the most important properties

Our offer includes of Steelguard fireproof paints - each of them has different parameters and is intended for use in specific cases. After reviewing the detailed information provided by the client, including the type of steel profiles, the number of square meters of sections, the designed critical temperature, we select the appropriate type of paint and the recommended thickness of the fireproof coating. Thanks to this, you can be sure that you will receive an optimized fire protection system, perfectly suited to your project. We offer paints:

• Steelguard 651 – provides up to 120 minutes of protection against the effects of cellulose fire. It is suitable for environments with corrosion classes C1 to C3,
• Steelguard 801 – provides protection for up to 90 minutes in corrosion classes C1 to C4. Its resistance to weather conditions without a topcoat is up to 12 months, provided that it is not affected by water or high humidity,
• Steelguard 851 – guarantees up to 120 minutes of fire protection in corrosive environments from C1 to C4. The remaining parameters are the same as in the Steelguard 801 .

Steelguard fire retardant paint – effective protection during fire

The fire protection system consists of three layers - primer paint providing anti-corrosion protection, fire protection paint and topcoat - protecting the fire protection layer against mechanical damage and moisture. Fire retardant paint plays a key role as it extends the time in which the steel reaches its yield point, which could lead to the collapse of the structure. As a result of the fire, the paint swells, creating a protective foam on the steel surface and providing more time for evacuation and intervention by the fire brigade. Steelguard paints provide protection in classes from R15 to R120, so they extend this time from 15 to 120 minutes. Our offer includes one-component intumescent paints - thin-coat, water-based or solvent-based products.
