STEELGUARD fire retardant paints
Steelguard fire retardant paints are used to fire-retardantly protect steel structures against fire in classes R15 to R120. Our offer includes paints:

Depending on the required class of protection and what shapes need to be painted, we select the appropriate paint for our clients.
Performance of Steelguard fire retardant paint
The performance of fire retardant paints depends on the section massiveness index. The massiveness factor is expressed in the unit 1/m. It determines the ratio of the perimeter of the profile exposed to fire to its cross-sectional area. On this basis and on the basis of the relevant tables included in the technical approval of the product, the thickness of the fire-resistant paint coating should be selected.
We perform these calculations for the client.
For this purpose, we need information: what steel profiles need to be protected (IPN, IPE, RK, RO, L, etc.) and how many running meters or square meters of individual sections are. The designed critical temperature is also important information. Without this information we are unable to provide a theoretical yield of Steelguard paint.

Steelguard - system
According to the technical approval, the paint is used in a three-coat system: epoxy primer, Steelguard, polyurethane topcoat. We select the system individually, according to the order (we take into account the corrosivity class of the environment, the surface to be painted, available sizes of paint packaging, the need for non-standard topcoat colors, etc.). Important information is also whether the structure has already been painted with any paint or whether it is galvanized.

Together with the purchased paints, we always provide all the necessary documents and a calculation of the thickness of the fire-retardant paint coatings. The company painting with Steelguard paint should have a Contractor's Certificate.
