SILICATE FACADE PAINT

Silicate Facade Paint is a mineral silicate paint intended for painting building elements both indoors and outdoors. It can be used on various building materials, such as: mineral and polymer plasters (e.g. acrylic), concrete, brick walls.

It creates a layer characterized by very high vapor permeability, ensuring free penetration of water vapor and removal of moisture through the surface on which it is applied.

Silicate Facade Paint - properties

• gives a uniform, well-covering, waterproof, matte, snow-white coating (white version) or of the appropriate color.
• the paint protects the external walls of buildings against moisture absorption.
• after drying, it creates a durable, hydrophobic layer with very good adhesion to typical mineral substrates.
• it is resistant to washing and weather conditions.
• contains acrylic binder and potassium water glass as well as modifying additives, pigments and mineral fillers as well as agents that prevent the development of fungi and mold on the facade surface.
• it is produced in a basic white color, but on request it can be dyed with high-quality pigments in a range of pastel colors (colors are estimated and tinted according to the RAL or NCS palette on request).

Silicate Facade Paint - surface preparation and application

It is a ready-to-use paint. Under no circumstances should chalk, lime, dry glue paints or other materials be added. It is not recommended to paint surfaces covered with lime paint. Before painting, the surfaces should be cleaned, dried, removed and degreased. Glue and lime paints must be removed. It is recommended to prime unpainted or very old surfaces with Grunder SK . Fresh cement-lime plaster can be painted no earlier than 4 weeks after application. It is allowed to paint thinned mineral plasters used in building insulation systems after three days if the temperature remains above +15°C on those days. Fill gaps and cracks with cement mortar. Before painting, mix the contents of the package thoroughly. Apply the next layer after the previous one has completely dried (after a minimum of 12 hours), using the "cross" method and maintaining one application direction for a given layer. Technological breaks and joints should be planned in advance, for example: in the corners and bends of the building, under downpipes, at the junction of colors, etc., so that they are located in invisible places. Wash tools with water immediately after finishing work.
