SILICATE PAINT for facades

Silicate Facade Paint is a mineral silicate paint designed for painting building elements both indoors and outdoors. It can be applied to a variety of building materials, including mineral and polymer plasters (e.g., acrylic), concrete, and brick walls.

It creates a layer characterized by very high vapor permeability, ensuring the free penetration of water vapor and the removal of moisture through the surface on which it was applied.

Silicate Facade Paint - properties

• provides a uniform, well-covering, waterproof, matte, snow-white coating (white version) or a suitable color.
• the paint protects the external walls of buildings against moisture absorption.
• After drying, it creates a durable, hydrophobic layer with very good adhesion to typical mineral substrates.
• is resistant to washing and weather conditions.
• contains acrylic binder and potassium water glass as well as modifying additives, pigments and mineral fillers as well as agents preventing the growth of fungi and molds on the facade surface.
• It is produced in a basic white colour, but on request it can be tinted with high-quality pigments in a range of pastel colours (we quote and tint colours on request according to the RAL or NCS palette).

Silicate Facade Paint - surface preparation and application

It is a ready-to-use paint. Under no circumstances should chalk, lime, dry adhesive paints, or other materials be added. Painting surfaces coated with lime paint is not recommended. Before painting, surfaces should be cleaned, dried, loose particles removed, and degreased. Adhesive and lime paints must be removed. It is recommended to prime unpainted or very old surfaces with Grunder SK . Fresh cement-lime plaster can be painted no sooner than 4 weeks after application. Painting of thin mineral plasters used in building insulation systems is permitted after three days, provided the temperature remains above +15°C during these days. Fill any gaps and cracks with cement mortar. Thoroughly mix the contents of the package before painting. Apply the next coat after the previous one has completely dried (after at least 12 hours), using the "crisscross" method and maintaining the same application direction for each layer. Technological breaks and joints should be planned in advance, for example: in corners and angles of the building, under downspouts, at the intersection of colors, etc., so that they are located in invisible places. Wash tools with water immediately after completing the work.
