EPOXY RO5500 epoxy for contact with food
RO5500 is a finishing epoxy enamel approved for direct contact with drinking water and food. It provides excellent protection for walls, floors, tanks, sorting tables and all surfaces in direct contact with water and food. The RO5500 paint coating is characterized by high chemical resistance and easy to clean . It creates a tile-like finish, resistant to oils, acids, alkalis, vegetable and animal fats and typical cleaning agents used in industrial and production halls. RO5500 food grade epoxy has a dry thickness of up to 150 microns in one coat. Can be applied on a variety of substrates (read below about system primers). >We do not ship this product on delivery. Epoxy for contact with food RO5500 - properties:
- Solvent-free epoxy resin - does not emit any unpleasant odor during application
- Using the appropriate primer, the paint can be applied to a variety of substrates, including tiles, concrete, steel, and non-ferrous metals.
- As much as 150 microns dry in one layer
- 100% solids content - the thickness of the wet layer is equal to the thickness of the dry layer
- PZH certificate for direct contact with drinking water
- Resistant to immersion
- Resistant to frequent cleaning with chemicals
- Easy to wash - tile-like finish, high gloss
Recommended primers for food contact epoxy RO5500, depending on the type of substrate:
- Tiles and very smooth, non-porous concrete - RO3333
- Epimal G20 or RO5401 epoxy primer
- Neopox Primer WS epoxy primer
- Epimal Stal epoxy primer
- Non-ferrous metals - Neotex Inox Primer
- Previously painted surfaces - if the old paint adheres well, you can paint directly; For high-gloss paints, we recommend mattifying the surface
RO5500 food contact epoxy - other applications:
- Swimming pools and tanks (also for drinking water)
- Floors in industrial and production halls
RO5500 is a two-component paint (the price is for the set, i.e. base with hardener). To make it easier to combine the ingredients, we recommend a cup for mixing paints and varnishes (also useful for dividing the paint into smaller portions).
