Silanit W mineral paint is a specialized paint for damp building interiors. It is intended for painting cement, cement-lime, renovation plasters, brick and concrete. The main area of ​​application of the paint is damp rooms, but it can also be used on the facades of buildings covered with mineral plasters.

After drying, it gives a very well-covering, matte coating that is highly durable to weather conditions and is resistant to pressure washing with water. The surface to be renovated should be thoroughly dusted, cleaned and degreased. Remove lime, emulsion and oil paints from the wall surface. Fill gaps and cracks with cement mortar. Cover protruding steel elements that cannot be removed with anti-corrosion paint that does not contain zinc dust. Before painting with Silanit W , moisten the plaster by spraying the surface evenly with water and wait a few minutes for it to absorb. In most cases, it is not necessary to prime the substrate.

Silanit W mineral paint - application

The paint is in the form of a powder that must be mixed with water. Pour the contents of the package slowly into the measured amount of water, stirring intensively with a mechanical mixer (e.g. a mixer mounted on a drill) until a homogeneous paint is obtained. Recommended proportion: 3 kg of dry paint per 2 liters of water. Once mixed, the paint must be used within 6-8 hours. The best conditions for hardening occur in cloudy weather and high air humidity. Protect the freshly applied paint coat against rain, intense sunlight and wind. After a long break from work (2-3 hours), the paint may thicken, then just stir vigorously. The paint will return to its original consistency without the need to dilute. Tools should be washed immediately after finishing work.
