KLB-System Polyurethan PU 805 E-R10 matte polyurethane varnish

KLB PU 805 E-R10 is a high-quality transparent polyurethane varnish based on new environmentally friendly technology. It is an excellent alternative to solvent-based varnishes. The product is intended for finishing polyurethane or epoxy resin coatings. It can be used directly on old coatings.

The product creates a smooth, matte coating on the surface of resin floors, which gives the floor an aesthetic appearance.

Due to the scattering of light on a matte surface, the "mirror effect" that occurs on glossy coatings is reduced, which makes the primary area of ​​application of the product on more visually demanding surfaces.

The varnish is intended for interiors in recreational rooms with special aesthetic requirements. It can be applied to resins in facilities such as showrooms, shops, offices, etc. o. The product is dedicated to surfaces with no or low traffic intensity of industrial trucks.   

Anti-slip coating

KLB PU 805E - R10 polyurethane varnish was tested in accordance with DIN 51130/BGR 181 and obtained a slip resistance class of R10. This is an essential product for creating an anti-slip resin floor.

Substrate preparation

Old surfaces should be cleaned and, if necessary, mechanically prepared. Before painting old synthetic resin substrates, check whether they have sufficient adhesion. If in doubt, we recommend treating the surface to increase adhesion.

Preparing the product for application

The set consists of two components (A and B). Before applying to the floor surface, both products should be thoroughly mixed in correctly measured proportions. Component A should be brought to working temperature and shaken well, then pour the contents into a clean bucket. The next step is to pour component B and mix with a low-speed mixer until the ingredients are combined and a homogeneous mass without streaks is created. To ensure a homogeneous mixture, pour the contents of the bucket into a clean container and mix briefly again.

To improve results, wait at least 10 minutes after initially mixing the ingredients and then mix again.

The mixture is usable for a maximum of 2 hours at 20 °C.

Application of varnish on resin floors

To apply the varnish, use a rubber trowel or a lint-free velvet roller. Do not apply more than one coat at a time, so it is best to separate zones to avoid accidental duplication of applications and subsequent layers. Otherwise, streaks and unevenness may appear on the painted resin floor surface. For larger surfaces, use a 50 cm wide roller. Use the roller to spread the product only after it has been saturated with the mixture. Always work wet on wet and ensure optimal material distribution.
