Which resin filler should you choose? Choose a product that meets your investor's requirements!
Depending on where the resin floor is being installed and how it will be used, you can use:
- Dried quartz sand epoxy resin additive , enhances the anti-slip properties of the substrate by changing the smooth surface structure to a rough one. The more you want to enhance this effect, the larger the granulation you should choose. We offer quartz sand and gravel from 0.1 mm to 4 mm.
- Glitter for floors – we offer this product in silver and gold. This decorative resin additive looks very impressive and is perfect for facilities where design and a unique floor finish are important.
- Decorative flakes – in addition to their decorative value, they conceal any unevenness and other floor imperfections and provide a subtle anti-slip effect. We offer flakes in a variety of colors: white, black, gray, blue, and brick red – compare them with the RAL shades to ensure you're buying the right color! You can also mix them. The resulting effect depends on the selected fraction and the number of flakes used.
- Thixotropic epoxy resin additives – planning to use a solvent-free resin on a sloped or vertical surface? To prevent it from sagging and creating unsightly streaks, use hydrophilic fumed silica. Adding it to the resin gives it thixotropic properties, which increases viscosity and thickens it.
- polyethylene resin additive – these products demonstrate impressive chemical resistance and mechanical strength, providing the coating with a rough finish, which makes them anti-slip.
Fillers and resin additives – applications
Products available in this category can be used for resin floors in public spaces and industrial facilities. Depending on the additives and fillers selected, they can be successfully used as a complement to flooring resins:
- in warehouses and production halls,
- in warehouses,
- in car workshops and vehicle service stations,
- in parking lots and garages,
- in service and commercial buildings – galleries, cultural and sports facilities,
- in residential buildings.
Many of the additives available in this category are highly resistant to water and use in rooms with increased humidity – for this reason they are suitable for use in swimming pools, saunas and on ships.

Product offer
Hydrophilic fumed silica for thickening varnishes and paints, among others. It prevents streaking and absorbs moisture.
A loose polyethylene additive. For mixing with the final layer of the flooring system.
TrokenPox Accelerator is a specialized primer additive designed to accelerate the curing process of epoxy resins. It shortens epoxy curing time by up to 6 hours, even at low temperatures.
How to use them?
keyboard_arrow_down keyboard_arrow_upResin flakes are a very popular way to achieve a decorative effect on floors. They come in a variety of colors and sizes, and can be mixed to create a unique finish. The flake mixture is sprinkled onto the final layer of resin while it's still fresh. The flakes adhere to the surface. Once the resin has dried, gently vacuum or sweep away any loose flakes. Finally, it's a good idea to seal the surface with a clear polyurethane varnish , which will protect the flakes and make it easier to keep the surface clean.
What are the benefits of using quartz sand for resin?
keyboard_arrow_down keyboard_arrow_upDried quartz sand is an additive to resin used to achieve a non-slip effect. Depending on the grain size and density of the backfill, varying surface roughness can be achieved. The sand is used between layers of resin. It is poured onto the wet first layer of resin, allowed to dry, and then loose particles are removed. The final step is to paint over the sand with a final layer of resin. Quartz sand can also be used as a structural filler for Epoxol Floor or as a filler for creating epoxy putty with Epoxol Primer SF-P .
Why should you use dried quartz sand for resin?
keyboard_arrow_down keyboard_arrow_upFor resin, only dried quartz sand should be used. The sand is dried at 1600°C. This process ensures it is moisture-free. Moisture in the sand can cause resin curing problems.
Anti-slip additive for paints - are there other options than quartz sand?
keyboard_arrow_down keyboard_arrow_upYes! Instead of quartz sand, you can choose the polyethylene anti-slip additive Neotex Antiskid M. It can be used with all flooring resins. It provides a subtle effect and is very efficient. It is more convenient to use than quartz sand because it is mixed directly with the resin (for the final layer) rather than sprinkled on the surface. For inexperienced users, it will be easier to achieve an even finish.
How to apply glitter to resin?
keyboard_arrow_down keyboard_arrow_upResin glitter is an increasingly popular decorative additive. It's used similarly to decorative flakes, sprinkled onto the final layer of resin while it's still fresh. Avoid mixing glitter with resin, as it will sink into the resin and ultimately become invisible.
