EKO-FARPOS acrylic floor paint

eco-Farpos is a water-soluble, ecological paint of a new generation. It is produced on the basis of an aqueous polymer dispersion with high hardness and abrasion resistance. For painting concrete floors, terraces, foundations, window sills, concrete fences, paving stones, sidewalks, garden figures, wooden floors and plaster surfaces. It is a one-component product, yet its abrasion resistance is similar to two-component epoxy floor paints.

eco-Farpos paint can be used:

• in residential and public spaces
• in the food industry
• in industrial halls, warehouses, garages

It can also be used to paint: stone, clinker, brick, plaster and metal after appropriate priming taking into account the specific properties of the substrate. The paint is certified by the National Institute of Hygiene (PZH), according to which it is intended for painting floors and tiles in residential premises, public buildings, health services, industrial premises, including the food industry (without direct contact with food) and outdoors.

The eco-Farpos paint coating is:

• smooth, matte
• well adhesive to the substrate
• hard
• resistant to:
  • abrasion
  • moisture, aqueous solutions of detergents and floor cleaning products
  • greases, oils (machine, fuel, transformer)
  • moderately acidic or alkaline environment
• quick drying

Anti-slip properties

Eko-Farpos has received a positive assessment from an accredited laboratory in terms of anti-slip properties according to DIN 51130:2004-06 and DIN V 18032-2:2001-04. The final assessment of the tests carried out using the above-mentioned paints determines the fulfillment of the R12 class requirement of the DIN 51130 standard, which means that they can be used in the following types of rooms:

• dry rooms inside buildings
• entrances of zones and stairs with access from the outside
• restaurants, shops, clinics, hospitals and schools
• bathrooms and showers, small kitchens, underground garages
• rooms for the production of catering food (preparing food catering), laboratories, laundries, hangars
• production rooms using fats, milk, dairy products, oils and meats, industrial production rooms using slippery substances, as well as parking lots and terraces.

Another final assessment of the tests carried out with the above-mentioned paints determines the fulfillment of the slip coefficient requirement according to DIN V 18032-2:2001-04, which in practice means that floors can be painted with these paints:

• in sports and gymnasiums
• indoor playing fields
• dance halls.

The paint can be used with decorative floor flakes.

Preparing the substrate for eco-Farpos paint:

Concrete and mineral plasters intended for painting should be made of materials that meet construction standards (consistent, resistant to crumbling and cracking). The concrete should be troweled sharply, which creates additional mechanical adhesion of the varnish coating to the substrate. Surfaces covered with cement-lime plaster should be troweled smoothly with a trowel. Surfaces to be painted should be clean and dry.

New concrete surfaces and mineral plasters

They can be painted no earlier than 4-5 weeks after they are made. Before painting, remove the remains of material that is not permanently bonded to the substrate, grind the surface protrusions, and fill the gaps and recesses with a mortar suitable for the surface being repaired in terms of material and strength, or with Epoxol Putty . Before painting, prime the substrate with eco-Farpos paint diluted with tap water (approx. 5% by volume). Priming the absorbent surface of concrete and plaster (this also applies to other mineral substrates) seals the substrate and creates better adhesion for the surface layers.

Wooden surfaces and wood-based materials

Remove traces of resinous substances and fats with extraction gasoline, sand with fine-grained sandpaper in the direction of the fibers and remove dust. Before painting, prime with eco-FARPOS paint diluted with tap water (approx. 5% by volume).

Steel elements

It should first be degreased, e.g. with Emulsol RN-1 . Clean from corrosion and prime with anti-corrosion paint, e.g. water-based Metakor or solvent-based Lowikor-2 . Apply eco-FARPOS paint after the primer is completely dry.

Surfaces intended for renovation painting

Clean layers of old paints that do not adhere well to the surface. Remove oil stains, grease, waxes and residues of other floor care products. You can use a 3% aqueous solution of Emulsol RN-1 for this purpose (we recommend mixing with warm water) and rinse with clean water. Wash stubborn, greasy stains additionally with white spirit. Sand and remove dust from surfaces covered with paints that are well bonded to the substrate. Fill any gaps in the concrete substrate or plaster with mortars appropriate in terms of material and strength for the repaired surface or with Epoxol Putty epoxy putty . Prime the entire renovated surface or only the repaired areas (depending on needs) with paint diluted with 5% tap water.
