Eko-Farpos is a new-generation, water-based, eco-friendly paint. It is manufactured using a water-based polymer dispersion with high hardness and abrasion resistance. Suitable for painting concrete floors, patios, foundations, window sills, concrete fences, paving stones, sidewalks, garden statues, as well as wooden floors and plaster surfaces. This single-component product, yet boasts abrasion resistance similar to that of two-component epoxy floor paints.
It can also be used on stone, clinker, brick, plaster, and metal after proper priming, taking into account the specific properties of the substrate. The paint is PZH certified, making it suitable for painting floors in residential, public, healthcare, industrial, and food industry spaces (without direct contact with food), as well as outdoors.
Eko-Farpos has been positively assessed by an accredited laboratory for anti-slip properties in accordance with DIN 51130:2004-06 and DIN V 18032-2:2001-04. The final assessment of the tests conducted on the above-mentioned paints indicates that they meet the class R12 requirement of DIN 51130, which means they can be used in the following types of rooms:
Another final assessment of the tests carried out with the above-mentioned paints determines compliance with the slip coefficient requirement according to the DIN V 18032-2:2001-04 standard, which in practice means that these paints can be used to paint the following floors:
The paint can be used with decorative floor flakes.
Concrete and mineral plasters intended for painting should be made of materials that meet construction standards (cohesive, resistant to crumbling and cracking). Concrete should be rough-troweled, which provides additional mechanical adhesion of the paint coat to the substrate. Surfaces coated with cement-lime plaster should be smooth-troweled. Surfaces intended for painting should be clean and dry.
They can be painted no sooner than 4-5 weeks after their application. Before painting, remove any remaining material not permanently bonded to the substrate, sand any ridges, and fill any gaps and recesses with mortar appropriate in terms of material and strength for the surface being repaired or with Epoxol Putty . Before painting, prime the surface with eko-Farpos paint diluted with tap water (approximately 5% by volume). Priming the absorbent surface of concrete and plaster (this also applies to other mineral substrates) seals the substrate and creates better adhesion for topcoats.
Remove any traces of resin and grease with mineral spirits, sand with fine-grained sandpaper in the grain direction, and remove dust. Before painting, prime with eco-FARPOS paint diluted with tap water (approx. 5% by volume).
It should be degreased first, e.g. with Emulsol RN-1 . Clean off corrosion and prime with anti-corrosion paint, e.g. water-based Metakor or solvent-based Lowikor-2 . Apply eco-FARPOS paint after the primer has completely dried.
Remove layers of old paint that are not adhering well to the substrate. Remove oil, grease, wax, and other floor care product residues. A 3% water solution of Emulsol RN-1 (we recommend mixing it with warm water) can be used for this purpose and rinsed with clean water. Additionally, wash stubborn, greasy stains with mineral spirits. Sand and dust surfaces coated with paints that are well bonded to the substrate. Fill any gaps in the concrete or plaster substrate with mortars appropriate for the material and strength of the surface being repaired or with Epoxol Putty . Prime the entire renovated surface or just the repaired areas (as needed) with paint diluted 5% with tap water.
