A-Graf 2K is a one-component water-soluble polyurethane varnish intended for covering wall surfaces (inside and outside) to protect against graffiti (permanent method) and creating a coating that makes it difficult to stick posters.
Read the advice on our blog: How to apply anti-graffiti protection?
It gives a translucent matte or transparent glossy coating (depending on the version) with high adhesion to porous and non-porous surfaces. It is highly resistant to weather conditions and repeated cleaning with A-Graf Remover . It can be used on matte, satin or glossy painting surfaces, facade paints, structural plasters, mineral surfaces, PVC containers, road signs, plastic panels and other delicate surfaces sensitive to solvents. A wall covered with the preparation also discourages graffiti artists from painting because it makes drawings more difficult (the lines become blurred and the paint drips). An additional advantage of the preparation is extending the durability of plasters by isolating them from the influence of destructive factors, such as moisture, moss, air pollution, and atmospheric factors. Once the graffiti has been removed from the protective coating, there is no need to renew it. Contaminants can be removed multiple times from the same coating. It is not recommended to use the preparation on clay plasters, lime paints or any dusty surfaces.
The substrate must be durable, dry, free of grease stains and dust. New surfaces must be dry and fully cured. Mineral, silicate and emulsion paint surfaces should be primed with A-Graf Grunt (once).
Before applying the preparation, the substrate must be thoroughly dried: wait at least 3 days for substrates painted with water-based paints, 8 to 10 days for solvent-based paints and 28 days for coatings such as waterproofing (consult the material manufacturer) . Do not use on a damp surface. Do not use below +8°C (substrate temperature).
After opening the container, mix the contents thoroughly for one minute.
Mix the matte version especially carefully due to its matting factor. Pour the appropriate amount of varnish and close the remaining varnish tightly. Tightly closed varnish can be used even several months after opening. Apply the preparation with a brush or roller on a clean and dust-free surface in a thick layer, avoiding underpainting, streaks and stains. Two layers provide adequate protection. Apply the second layer approximately 3 to 4 hours after the first one has hardened at a drying temperature of 22 °C. However, there are no time limits for applying a second coat or filling in defects. The painting should be protected from rain during the first 4 hours. Work should be planned in appropriate weather conditions.
Apply A-Graf Remover . Leave for 1 minute, clean with a soft brush and then rinse with water. Wipe dry with a soft cloth. Repeat the treatment if necessary. In case of discoloration, you can use bleach (conduct a test) and then rinse with water. You can also remove graffiti using cold or warm water under pressure (up to 50°C and up to 60 bar).
